BS13 Robin Posted May 7, 2018 Report Share Posted May 7, 2018 To be honest I thought he looked a bit like a rabbit caught in the headlights,ran around a lot gave away the foul and lost the ball on the touchline whilst trying to be fancy that's not to say he hasn't got a future ahead of him though! I know you're not necessarily writing him off, but it's incredibly harsh to be so scathing about a young academy graduate making his debut as a sub. There are so many factors at play that will impact his performance, even including the score when he came on. The important thing is that the debut is over with now, that's always a big step. Phileas Fogg Posted May 7, 2018 Report Share Posted May 7, 2018 Cynically I wonder if LJ’s KPI’s prioritise ‘the pathway’ over whether we finish 10th vs 11th. Obviously Taylor was the correct choice if we were serious about drawing or winning the game. Of course, it’s always nice to give someone a debut but I wonder if LJ had his mind on the close season autopsy. He’d want to be able to defend himself by saying ‘well I gave X academy players their first team debut’.
