And we got compensation.

happy day !

I think you'll find we didn't - given he was never contracted to us.... You've clearly forgotten the great Bristol pen crisis of 1999/2000.....

He was unmercifully booed when here as a player, will never come.

I was at the Gate a lot in those days and Moysie definitely wasn’t booed. He was always a steady composed defender for us with proper leadership quality. Plus he weighed in with a few headed goals from corners.

Would I take him as manager here? Not now. Maybe when he managed Preston and was on the rise, but I don’t think he has the hunger anymore.

As I said it was a little nod to the Shaun Dyche report that although he was booed here it made him a better manager.

Genious @simon uk you’ve asked an open and unfulfilled question. Many seem to assume it’s ‘as our manager’.

I look at the topic title and wonder, would you take David Moyes....

Fishing

Up the aisle

And party

Home to your parents

For a kebab

Please confirm what you’re asking. I’m aching to find out!

Is plumping still illegal in certain parts of the country ?

There are specialist sites for that aren't there ?

Think you can still do it with pillows but not sure if they have to be a certain age.

You could be right.

Until confirmed, it’s all speculative at best.

When I saw the thread title, I didn’t think it was to suggest Moyes as manager, so was interested to see what the OP was getting at. However, that’s yet to be confirmed, so I’ll try not to be so assumptious.

Personally I won't believe anything til it's confirmed we're taking Moyes up the junction on the OS.

Apologies, the full question should have been so who would take moyes for a romantic weekend break to the lake district, stopping at stafford services for some diesel and coffee, staying in a lovely hotel but insisting that we do kfc for lunch on the saturday, before watching dirty dancing on a portable dvd player in our room on the saturday night, and then driving back to bristol via wolverhampton on the sunday after a delightful sunday lunch some where near kendal. Surprised anyone mistook the original message to mean anything but this.

Yes please.

Name the 2 Bristol City players in this photo?

Re Moyes (he is one of the ones above!) I think it would be a huge coup if we could attract him here.  Unlikely to happen, but look his close he took Preston on a smaller budget than we’d have.  The “project” is made for a bloke like Moyes.  He’d be frugal in the transfer market, can spot a player from a lower league who can step-up and make you money, e.g. Stones.  He also recruits players of long-term value, e.g. Baines, Jagielka.

His brand of football will be dictated by the style he wants to play and whether he can recruit to that style.  Preston played some lovely stuff under him.  Everton weren’t bad either when he had Arteta pulling the strings.

But we have LJ in the job, so just wishful thinking.

I think it would definitely be a statement of SL's intent on gaining promotion by appointing DM. It would demonstrate he means business… :city:

Would @RedM be his PA? :city:

More chance of me getting a restraining order first :bounce:

Seriously it would be a huge statement of intent, and certainly bring the publicity the club seem to crave. A big manager would also attract players like we have never done before, and I don’t mean expensive has-beens either. And what a huge way to bring some positivity back to the club and fans, would cleanly knock the Matty Taylor signing out of the water.

Yup, still dreaming of this.

Moyes to Stoke is the rumour

I heard this earlier on the radio. Disgusting team Stoke, I probably hate them more than ManU, and I really don’t like them.

What am I going to do :sad26:
