Trouble is his experience is many more losses than wins, bricked it when change was essential, played players he can trust even when they are shite, messed up tactics and refused to change tack before the game is gone, demanded leaders and got rid when they disagreed with him, got rid of the backroom staff because they could do better - always safe in the knowledge that SL would back him - he who spent more money than any manager in City history and has nothing to show for it!

Now so trusted by those holding the purse strings that they have told him he can’t spend!

Shit on the fans that had to dig even deeper to watch their team with even less chance of matching last seasons partial success.

Is the truth of all the summer speculation that the better players we were linked with did not want to play under LJ ? After all a lot of championship players do know him!

His experience is about 2 or 3 more wins than losses throughout his career and the same amount of wins as losses at city. So he is pretty much middle of the road. His problem throughout his managerial career is his losses come in big batches which is the issue and makes his record seem worse than it actually is.

How much of that has gone on a marquee player? - unless you consider Famara a marquee signing at a club record £5.3m....

I'm not in favour of a marquee signing this summer, probably unsettle the squad.  Last January was the time to make a statement of intent to the rest of our players and make them believe we were going for it, might have helped keep one or two even if we failed

Feels a bit like moving into a new house and buying loads of shit from ikea rather than a proper mattress and a decent sofa though.

Same money but quantity over quality.
