Funny how our best players are out on loan .

Performing well in League 2 is encouraging enough but performing well at Championship level is another matter entirely.

Strange you consider him one of ‘best players’ - unless you’ve been over to Newport to watch him play week in week out of course.

Its still a huge step in quality tho....

Slightly off topic, but talking of players on loan ... I was up in Sunderland a few weeks ago and watched Taylor Moore playing for Southend up there.

He was fantastic, looked the best player for Southend by a long way. Very quick and dominant in the air against a strong Sunderland side.

Looked better than some of the regulars in our match day squad

It does make me laugh the number of times refer to other players like they constantly watch them week in week out and truth is they don't have a clue

Merely reporting on the plaudits and admiration for our on loan players and reminding folk that this particular one is on a 6th month loan. It may well be that the plan is to bring him back in January if he's performed well. Which he has by all accounts. Off-hand condescension is not usually your style. Also: N.B. question mark in the thread title.

Could he be any worse than what he's playing

We’ll bring him back and he won’t play all season

“Still young” - “still developing” - “one for the future” - how boring is all this guff now?! Nought wrong with buying players for the here and now surely? How long have we got to wait? Although, having said that, we were told by LJ that signings such as Engvall and Walsh were like da roverzzz’ sprinklers - ‘championship ready’ - hasn’t quite worked out like that, and he thinks we just forget the rubbish he spouts at times I suppose....
