Does allow cover behind a WB when they push on, still leaving 2 CBs. Unless they attack down both wings at the same time

Charlie BCFC
I’ll go with this (assuming Smith is fit enough to start and Weimann isn’t) O’Leary Wright Kalas Webster Hunt Pack Smith Brownhill Dasilva Taylor Diedhiou However Johnson may decide to go with Paterson and we go 5221 which is what it looks like we did against Blades
elhombrecito
Personally, I liked the 7-2-1 formation that we finished with against Boro. Though, it might be a tad too defensive for a home game against Wigan O'Leary Hunt - Kalas - Wright - Baker - Webster - Kelly - Dasilva Pack - Brownhill Diedhiou

Seriously though, I’ve posted quite a bit over the months Re the flexibility of our 8 first team defenders, Future recruitment and moving to a back 3 and wingbacks. The one thing I’d questioned was who would be the outside CBs, and having not watched Sheffield Utd (radio only) and only watching the second half of Boro on my phone on a twitter stream, I had assumed Wright was RCB. Listening to Gregor’s podcast (Sorry Shtanley) it appears that Wright was the central CB, and Kalas and Webster the outside ones. Was that the case? If so, I can see the logic of the better ball-playing CBs being on the outside, like Ayling and Williams were to Flint.
