My major concern in how over our last dozen games or so we have come so porous at the back. Every goal they scored, good as they were, was down to poor defending for this level. Leeds looked good. We don’t need a new centre back, but we do need a new right back, new centre mid (hopefully already sorted), and new striker. Quite why we couldn’t have applied that same urgency and desire from the brief spell at the end through the whole 90 minutes is baffling. For the umpteenth time we only start playing when it’s too late we’re too far behind. We did absolutely nothing well today. No pressing, no desire, no urgency, afraid to show for the ball. I know where you are coming from, but Weimann (especially) and COD just never showed for the ball on the flanks, leaving little option but to hit to Diedhiou in the middle. I know you don't like it, but the fact is Weimann offers next to nothing playing right midfield and gives no defensive cover at all, Eliasson is miles better in that position.
