First up, we won't change formation. DH is keen on it, and unless something drastic happens we will stick with it.
Oleary , makes sense to give him game time, and it protects Bents'.

Mawson being on the bench implies he's close , so give him an hour.
Taylor Moore, Give him a run on his preferred side.
Rowe or Vyner. I don't think we can riskKalas with us light on CB's, I think Vyner may play as Rowe could be our only WB if JD is still out.

Eliasson & Sessignon seem most likely.
Morrell has had a rest, as has Nagy. I think Weimann fills the last spot unless Palmer is off the naughty step. Alternative is Bakinson, thing is if no one else is fit he could be starting Saturday.

Martin and Semenyo

Most of this depends on how close the rest are, players injured, not ready etc. Can't wait until we have a full squad to choose from.

My team for tomorrow:

                                   Bentley

                        Vyner | Kalas | Mawson

Sessegnon | Nagy | Bakinson | Paterson | Rowe

                               Wells | Martin

Subs: O’Leary, Moore, Brunt, Eliasson, Weimann, Diedhiou, Semenyo

I want my GK and CBs to start getting familiar with each other.  I have a feeling Holden might fancy Vyner over Moore, but I’d be happy with either at RCB tomorrow.

Hunt can have a rest, Vyner can cover if Sessegnon only needs 60 mins.

Club have confirmed that Morrell is out injured "Injury update: Callum O'Dowda continues to make a positive recovery from a groin strain, Liam Walsh and Joe Williams are nearly back on the grass, Jay Dasilva (shin) is to see a specialist and Joe Morrell (calf) will also miss the game due to injury sustained on international duty with Wales.https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/match-preview-northampton-town-cc-r2-h/

Thinking about it a bit more I suspect we might see the midfield we finished with against Coventry. Bakinson, Paterson and Weimann.

I would have thought he’d give either Pato or Weimann a rest. Could we possibly see Eliasson play central? I’m sure I heard Dean say he’s tried Nic central in training or something along those lines.

I think Nagy and Bakinson will start. Then it’s a toss up between Pato, Weimann and Eliasson imo.

Yeh he tried Eliasson in one of the central MF spots in at least one of the pre-season games. It's possible of course, we're all guessing.

Cheers, hadn't seen that. Think they mentioned tight hamstring Saturday, but it sounded more precaution than anything else.

Pato will play a lot, so it makes sense to rest him. I think it depends on what MF is fit to see if AW plays, if Morrell or one of the others is fit, I think we will go with 2 genuine MF's against Stoke, otherwise I think we'll get over run again. Eliasson is probably the only option for LWB if we want to rest Rowe.

Crazy we have a massive squad and it seems like half of them are unavailable.

I think it's particularly noticeable because it's Walsh and Morrell - two players everyone's been dying to see all summer.

I'd actually forgotten but would it be crazy to suggest Morton might get minutes? If he played against Exeter (albeit a cameo) then he should be at least in the 18 for Northampton.

Yes, could well do....wouldn’t mind if he did.

We’ve added some players since then, and a couple back from international duty....so expect he’ll be squeezed out.

Wouldn't mind Towler getting a game, no better chance to see what level he's at currently with game time and we may need to know that given Baker being out till christmas, stick him with Mawson and Kalas so plenty of experience with him, Rowe LWB so the best fit LWB we have also with a lot of experience to help him.

No problem with the firtst two- Bakinson and Paterson- @ExiledAjax but I hope the Weimann in CM experiment when we have more suitable options to choose from is reaching a conclusion.

If we have a shitload of injuries later in the season then we know in emergencies maybe, but...

Oh agreed. I don't want Weimann to play in midfield, but I think Holden might carry on with it. Very happy to be proved wrong.

Play Elasson wingback. Maybe he is already gone but If not, he have to have a chanse to play.. He is far to good to be on the bench so its more than undertanding that he want a new club. Someone mentioned COD as wingback, Niclas better than him eight days a week. COD offers not offensive or defensive. Kalas and the new cb, Vyner has not impressed and Im not sure enough If Moore can make it on this level. Think Martin starts and some changes in midfield.
