So the draw in the Dribuild sweet had 2 of the 5 prizes won by Dribuild

I believe the owners are City fans too :chant6ez:

So with odds of 78/1, one of the companies who are already club partners and a sponsor of a stand happens to win the "top" prize of front of shirt sponsor and back of shorts sponsor.......nothing dodgy going on there then :fear:

You would assume, perfectly reasonably, that with each sponsor having one ticket in the raffle that each sponsor could only win once.

Nothing to see here, move along please!

79 @ £1250 (pre VAT) = £98,750 can't believe selling them seperately would have got that

Some companies purchased multiple tickets, so the final amount would be more.

Not bad really, we wouldn't get this much in sponsorship if we didn't do it this way.

It could only be more sinister if a company that has Rovers' directors at the helm ever won it.

This of course that would be a terrible thing and when N-Gaged, a company run by Dunford and another no-mark Rovers director, won the first shirt sponsor raffle it must have been complete coincidence.

....but what about 'Irene n da famouz quarterzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz'?

There must be a huge list of multinational companies begging to sponsor Rovers.

You're lucky you didn't end up with Vanarama because that would've topped being sponsored by a boozer this year.

Doesn't matter whether they are multinational or not to me. There was a article a few years back when we first did it about how we raised more in sponsorship than at the time premiership clubs Bolton and Wigan. Wigan were sponsored by 188Bet that year I believe and received £50,000, we were sponsored by N-Gaged(fix) and received £85,000. The main thing is that we raise a lot more than the majority if not all League 2 & 1 clubs by doing this and a lot more than if we sought out a individual sponsor directly.

As for being sponsored by a boozer, you lot like laugh but it doesn't bother me. Local business that took their chance in the draw, at-least their logo looks decent on the shirts compared to some of the crap we've had in recent years!

Now being sponsored by Vanarama... it sends shivers down my spine just thinking about it.

To be honest, it is a really good idea and so long as you get over 50 participants then everyone's a winner.

And of course for us there's always the chance that you will ironically get sponsored by a shit tip and then we get to win too.

Local derby; five games left; two points off automatic promotion. Surely, surely that means a sell-out today by the self-proclaimed greatest supporters in the world. But no, it isn't.

Compare and contrast with our season of disappointment and a bigger stadium to fill and yet 95% of our games still sold out.

Rovers - know your place.

Be sheeds in the away end though no doubt. Causing trouble for the family club AGAIN.

That`s what they`ll say when they lose and riot as usual.

They don't understand statistics red some of them seem to think home and away crowds double if they get into the championship.

What they don't understand is that constantly prattling on about attendances can  make them look very silly when they are unable to sell-out a game of this magnitude, whatever division they are in. Especially with them having such a small capacity to fill.

Dog ****** has done a phenomenal job. Back to back promotions nailed on, and the achievement can only be credited.

Saw on Twitter that every player will be offered a new deal if they're promoted, not sure that's so wise.

Not wise at all.

That said, it depends what sort of deal they get offered. Apparently last time it was a KFC bargain bucket family deal to share, with Wally being a gazzillionare, he might push the boat out and go to Boots for the meal deal.

I think they're all but up looking at their run-in.

Agree.

However the 8th May 1993 was the last time that they gained a point at the level we currently play at.

Gas, know your place..

Our place is historically one League below you, and it looks good for now. Love him or mock him, our manager seems to be doing a great job. Could it be three promotions in a row? Too early to guess, but we're on the up at last.

Three promotions in a row? This is very out of character for a gashead to get a little ahead of themselves......
