His was a fairly reluctant takeover and he said he would sort them out financially and then step down to concentrate upon his own business and he did sort them out and has now stepped down. Staynes would have been supporting this and working with him so would get some of the credit. Son of David?

weepywall
Heres an idea, as they have a pop up temporary ground that could be put on the back of a couple of lorries why don't they tour the country like a travelling circus, just rack up at some park or field, play a game and move on to the next park. They know that their fans will turn up in their thousands wherever they are playing and would only upset the locals for one afternoon. 1

I shouldn't of been so biased in my negativity towards the local council as over time new councillors come in and have different views and opinions and things change. The council of Old seemed less interested. As you say this story was over a year ago and all I get when talking to other locals is that things seem to be at a stand still again. These locals may not necessarily be in the know as such so I will just remain hopeful for the sake of the Town and Supporters. Amazing really since the club were sold down the river in the 90’s by the local council, glad to see this change, but still sorry that they lost the Frome Rd ground via some very “interesting” circumstances to a big property development company!

Popular Post BS4 on Tour...
Do you know, I’m starting to feel a bit sorry for the blue, bitter few who happen to co-populate our fair city....they try so hard to remain relevant and visible - they are straight on to Talksport when we beat Manchester United in a cup quarter final because the nation is apparently very interested in Darren from Patchway’s assertion: “Yeh but da Roverzzz take more fans to away games than da shit” - bless him...then they climbed all over the Man City forum when we played them in the cup semi final, spouting the same shite, while we quietly took 8,000 to Manchester in midweek... And all the while we have built a £45m stadium and have now had planning permission granted for a state of the art training ground...whilst they flounder like a fish out of water waiting for tents to be delivered as new stands to their ‘stadium’ - yes, tents...in 2018...their home ground is ridiculed by away fans whilst others wax lyrical about the palatial surroundings offered up by Ashton Gate...and all this after they fell for the guff that Wael spouted when he took them over ... so they carried him down Gloucester Road... They couldn’t take time to let it sink in and study what it actually meant, oh no, they took to Social Media channels to ridicule our club because they were instantly ‘much richer’ and indeed were now ‘the sixth richest club in England’ - they ridiculed the transfers out of Reid, Flint, Mags and Bryan, calling it a ‘mass exodus from Ashton Gate’ - while failing to acknowledge those deals gave us the best part of £25 million...meanwhile, our genuine billionaire owner nicked their best player for £300k and carried on making sure we had an amazing stadium and state of the art training facility - they will never admit that they are jealous and filled with envy, but they are, they just are...and I just feel a bit sorry for them....nah, bollox do I...!! 31 2
