Bristol R*vers dustbin thread

Recommended Posts

There`s a thread over there about them hoping to sign Brett Pitman. Most would appear to be happy if they did (understandably - he does know where the net is unlike most of the shite they`ve got) but there are some that don`t want him `cuz he`s a gurt ted`. He would probably keep them up but they don`t want him because he used to play for us - idiots!

They are also advocating doing harm to Matty Taylor should he sign for Sunderland and end up playing at the swamp in a week or two. One melt has also suggested that SL`s prime reason for selling him to Sunderland would be to deprive the s*gs of a Wembly appearance.

When you have moderators making death threads on a public forum, it is not surprising that scientists use the GasChat forum to study primitive life forms - a primeval swamp of a forum matched only in depravity by their "stadium" ...

Matty Taylor again.

2 years on and they’re still crying about it.

Brilliant ?

Yes...yes thats right, you paranoid belters.

SL really cares that much about your hilarious little club that it would bother him greatly if you got to the final of a cup competition that’s become worthless.

Whilst we’re at it, why don’t we send Famara, Josh Brownhill, O Dowda and Lloyd Kelly to Southend as theyre playing the Sags on Saturday?

What’s the point in such a low release clause as well!  Even if it was secret it wouldn’t take long to trigger it!

The release clause was 0.8 of a tilson tbf, that's a big fee for rovers...

Ironically their complaint on another thread about Payne is that he's useless in their team because he's purely a finisher in that he can't create his own chances but relies upon a service into the box from midfield that isn't being delivered.

Now my memory of Brett Pitman was that he was absolutely identical; he was purely a finisher.  Somebody like Akinbiyi could pick the ball up in midfield and create a goal out of nowhere but Brett didn't have that speed, strength and dribbling ability but was a great finisher.

Fingers crossed that Brett doesn't go there as they'll be slagging him off as much as they do Payne because they will have again signed the wrong forward for the way their team plays.

So because MT is rumoured to go like hundreds of other players. This rumour is to apparently wind sagheads up . Utterly deluded

I mean presumably it's just a wind up from this ted with too much time on his hands. Good to know that despite our lengthy absence from their footballing lives they're still obsessed with us.

In truth, solely in anticipation of Saturdays match, SL did loan Southend Taylor Moore and he didn’t put a clause in the agreement preventing him playing against the sags. It’s so obvious that SL has a grudge against the 15ers.

Well before the transfer took place, rovers fans were debating the contract that Matty had just signed for them. They were saying it was great and he was a legend for signing guaranteeing they would get a fee for him as opposed to just going on a free. In that thread they debated a minimum clause and many said it was £300,000.00. So they have themselves to blame for putting it out there well before we approached him.

Pretty sure it was even on there own shithouse of a forum. Months before we signed him . Tossers

It was reported in the press, for example:

Daily Record November 2016:

With a release clause of less than £1million believed to exist in his Bristol Rovers deal

And even more specifically from 25 Jan 2017, the Ipswich site:

Quote

According to previous unconfirmed reports, the new two-year contract Taylor signed with Rovers in the summer includes a £300,000 release clause and that Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers are also among the interested clubs.

That ball over the top for Korey against Man U will never be forgotten by all of us, but more importantly it won't be forgotten by them. No doubt some sags nearly had heart attacks watching that and some tv screens went through.

All the examples above from Eddie Hitler, plus the fact how many release clauses of other players are mentioned on Sky Sports News, commentators, EFL programme, MOTD, in the press generally etc etc. Yet when someone bids that release clause amount it is underhand in their tiny minds. Glad to know it still hurts them really badly...

A 38 yr old unable to the down a regular place at a club below us, seems more realistic, in those terms maybe?

(not suggesting we should or can btw)

He's just gone back to the Prem with Burnley. That's not even taking the wages etc into consideration.

They are deluded, and to be honest they do think they are better than most in that league, and would probably think he would see it as a step up.

Unrealistic signings, aren't just limited to the blue few though...

It's obvious isn't it. They are Da Roverz, they are the bestest club in the South West, they have a unique kit, their fans are envied all across the Globe and they are also the 6th richest club in the UK - who wouldn't want to leave a team near the top of the table to go there.....

Incoming;

Despite having a number of options in the centre of midfield, Bristol Live understands the Gas are on the verge of adding Coventry City player Abu Ogogo.

In May 2010, he was sentenced to eight month's imprisonment, suspended for eighteen months and ordered to perform 120 hours of unpaid community service, after pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm in an assault in Croydon in August 2008

Bonkers isn't it.

They are in a relegation fight and can't seem to ship players out quick enough.

Anyone would think Wally wants to clear the decks to save a few quid.

Wouldn't it be perfect if Payne scored the goals to send the sags down? Let's hope he does.

If they didn’t have something about City to occupy their tiny minds then they would wake up and realise the absolutely dire predicament in which their club finds itself.....

They eagerly scan the away teams’ line ups at The Mem in the vain hope that an ex-City player may well be among them, then they can bellow ‘Sheee-ed’ at these guys non stop and congratulate themselves on how they must have ruined those players’ afternoons by reminding them that they once played for a much bigger club than their own little outfit.

It helps them, it really does. While they stay away from The Mem in increasing numbers and boycott league games, they fill their minds with:

”Lansdown = tax dodger” - except Dwane Sports is registered in Jersey - oops!

”Gas = 6th richest club in the country” - except they are not, they’re not even the richest club in their own city - oops!

Etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, ...... you know the others....

....and they just make us laugh, again and again, while they esperately try to remain relevant....

Is it true that Ogogo talked of da gas’ “big fanbase and massive away support” when he signed? Please let it be true - another one taken in by their utter nonsense - 6,851 at their last home game....

So, my issue with that, is they’ve swapped a 29 year old striker with a decent premier league record for a 38 year old who could barely come off the bench in the league below, and on a six month contract for relatively few quid on top it seems.

Gotta be honest BS4, this smells of a dog’s bank account

It would appear that the Blue Few have signed a new terrific striker.

The Bristol Post article also states that he has "scored 6 gals this season", ooh er missus. A bit of a ladies man as well. Well, he shouldn't have any problem scoring in whorefield.

“The 24-year-old has scored six goals in 29 appearances for the Sky Blues this season.

He has previously had spells Doncaster Rovers, MK Dons, Rotherham, Oldham, Bury, Southend United, and Peterborough United.”

So the 15ers are the 9th league club for this 24yo. He doesn’t hang around anywhere for very long does he?

A goal every 5 games (at the same level) hopefully means that his projected 3 goals (4 if being generous) for the remainder of this season will not be enough to keep the horrible ####ers up ?

Good knowledge..!

In fairness, that match sticks in the mind as one of our most woeful performances in recent times, and he’s hardly kicked on much since then.

Indeed, he’s just taken a dire backwards step. At least they will love him, with that stat in his pocket!
