Worth mentioning that Wigan would be a point ahead of them and Reading a point below if they had no deductions. I expect Wigan to overtake them, not so sure about Reading.

Another couple of poor results could see them hovering just over the relegation area.

Which would be nice.

League positions mean nothing. They are the best team in the division. End of.

Joey says so, so it must be true...

If a team who have been docked points end up getting more points than a club that doesn't have a deduction to contend with, doesn't make them any better than Joeys team - in the same way that teams up around the top of the table, with more points, who score more goals & concede less goals... just numbers blah blah blah - none of them are as good as Joeys team..!

I'm not sure that they could employ anyone worse then Barton but employing Nathan Jones would be a bloody close run thing. Can't think of anyone else more suited to that odious shower.

Given that Luton are Steve's latest favourite team I wouldn't be surprised if he has Jones on his short list to replace Nigel.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

I thought this was going to be a birthday message for the gap, isn't it 22 years old somewhere about now?

23 years this Saturday

I recognise this is sarcasm on your part but I am not sure about the guy who posted this on their forum........

I read that as "Burton were just lucky, lucky that our defenders and goalkeeper were crap."

I wonder if The Gap has met his soulmate yet, a potential Mrs Gap ?

Will we be hearing the pitter patter of Bady Gap footsteps in the next few(er) years ?

Lovely section in the Sun today called "those were the days - on this day"

40 years ago QPR 0 Liverpool 1

18 years ago Arsenal 1 Man City 0

6 years ago Spurs 4 Liverpool 1

Oh and 46 years ago.....

Spurs 9 ( yes nine!) Bristol Rovers 0 Colin Lee scored 4 whilst making his debut after signing from Torquay!!!

Another wonderful date to remember......

The M5/M42/M6 must have been gridlocked yesterday. :noexp:

To be fair to Rovers fans Burton only realised very late that Rovers have a massive away following so made a late call to allow pay on the day, or at least that’s what someone on Gaschat said.

I’m sure we sold out well before it could go to pay on the day at Burton both times when we played there a few seasons back, although Rovers have much better away support.

No, how can you doubt such a statement? It`s obvious from the packed - out away ends everywhere they go. in there like sardines they are.*

*By which I mean oily, greasy and stinking of fish.

Apart from Burton, obviously and erm..... whoever else they've played away this season.

Was travelling north to visit family yesterday, late morning, and stopped in Hopwood services on the M42 (with my City polo shirt on) and can honestly say there were far more Bears fans there than Gas.

Mainly all going to see the lionesses who play for Arsenal I’m afraid

Its still 4k more than the Rovers L1 team.

Couldn't give a toss who they're playing, the point is the Womens team can get that sort of attendance over their mens team.
