I don't mind this line up at all if it is 352. A decent game by Bakinson on Saturday. We should be able to pass the ball with the back 3 all being comfortable on the ball, Atkinson could really advance a lot in that wide centre back position of the 3. Midfield double pivot and wing backs all very comfortable on the ball.

With all due respect as probably one of the more astute tacticians and deep thinkers about the beautiful game on this forum, isn't it high time that you changed your user name to "Double Pivot"?

We do seem to get more than our fair share of deflected goals don’t we? Is it half hearted defending / blocking or just bad luck?

Seemed to have acres to shoot from, bakinson seemed to be in no mans land

Probably just stats and probabilities. We've likely conceded far more shots than most teams in the league over the last 2 years, hence we're prone to a higher number of unlucky deflected goals. Some might argue that we also have more "lucky, got away with one there" moments than other teams for the same reason.

That goal did feel very unfortunate though (especially after a reasonable start).

They have scored one and nearly scored three. I think they are the better side. We’ve created Weimann chance and that’s it

Opportunities aren't just shots. We've had plenty of play in dangerous areas but poor delivery and dodgy touches have let us down. I can't see what NP is guilty of here?

Birmingham might have got lucky with that one, but there were at least 2 other chances that we were very lucky not to concede. Swings and roundabouts.

Why do we always look afraid to shoot from outside the box.

Most teams would have tried their luck. Instead Bakinson tries to play a hopeless pass.

Bakinson is the only one that can strike a ball from range

Bakinson has been pretty wasteful up front, and hasn't tracked once or twice which is disappointing.

He's also been available a lot, and seen a lot of the ball and done some good things.

Not awful, not great imo. At least he's getting on the ball and trying to play with it!

I like that Bakinson is bringing the ball out , making himself available and allowing us to pass the ball .

Excellent cut out after poor control by Tanner. TB is doing okay at the mo IMHO, no more, no less.

As you say, Bakinson can shoot from distance, but doesn't try it enough.

Their goal is a perfect example of what can happen by trying your luck from range.

We always try and pass it into the box before considering a shot.

If he’s fit enough to be on the bench then he should be starting,  he’s our best player by miles

As others have said - we don’t why Massengo isn’t starting but at a guess he’s being protected having suffered a hamstring injury.

Worth risking a 20min cameo rather than risking an entire game.

We do know why, it’s exactly what you suggest
