East Londoner
Didn’t Danny Wilson score for Luton in a league cup final?
richwwtk
So not Mick Harford even though he did? Danny Wilson scored in a League Cup Final Bobby Hutchison in an FA Cup Final Both of those were staff and not players for City though
DingleRed
Tommy Hutchinson was also later on staff therefore not an ex at the time

Silvio Dante
I’m going for Jacki. It doesn’t say he played for us before scoring said goal. It also doesn’t say top flight is English top flight. Jacki’s club won the Polish cup in 1985 - no idea if he scored but the answer seems to tick a few boxes

richwwtk
Ralph Milne scored in the 1982 Scottish League Cup Final and Robert Fleck in 1987 Edited January 27, 2022 by richwwtk

Ah it’s in the wording though ”Which ex city player” and no qualification means they played for us at one point. Not that the event happened after they played for us. If it was worded as “Which ex city player then went on…” said player would have had to play for us before the event. The lack of the qualification allows for players to play for us after the event. I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t understand the question. An ex player from the 90s who scored in a cup final in the 80s? What’s the relevance of the person who scored an important late goal on a Friday? 1

Many people would recall that goal and watching it. Still not getting warm. Quite simple bs4. A final contested by two top flight clubs.
