It’s the Lead role, so maybe £30k Still a young man’s game. Hmmmm...less than a top player at our club is paid in a week? I'd suggest that this is a grad starting salary - so I'd suggest that should be doubled, at least.
SecretSam
I've just had a look at the JD, it mentions Hudl and Tableau, both of which we use at my company - quite specialist. It's a key role and would require not only excellent analytical skills, but PM and comms skills as well. You'd be pitching at a senior level and would need to have some gravitas behind you. Plus a Masters, etc. Those sorts of skills are highly desirable in the workforce, and highly portable - I work in healthcare and we have people who do similar things. I'm agreeing with me...it's >£25k compared with the wider market for that sort of person.

Might not have been Luke’s role itself, but football doesn’t pay that well outside the first team.

Well worth the gap in pay!

Hamdon Mart
The trouble is though, clubs that advertise positions with what is perceived to be a poor salary will probably find somebody that WILL do the job for that salary & therein lies the problem. Folks circumstances are different and some will work for it if they have a few quid in the bank as a buffer. Some graduate type peeps will do it for the experience and a springboard into a different / better paid job elsewhere in the industry. If I was qualified enough to do this for £20-24k, I would possibly consider it. However as someone who has started working in football relatively recently (and in my mid fifties), I'm unlikely to be considered for the role.

Reep does indeed tend to be misinterpreted and didn't get the credit he deserved. If anything it's a surprise analytics didn't become fully embedded in the English game until relatively recently.
