Red-Robbo
Does indicate we've spent more than 48% of our existence as a second-tier club which backs up those who say that's our "natural" level.

handsofclay
How did you assemble the points, from points actually awarded so in the days of two points for a win you added two points, then when it became three points for a win you added three points, or did you convert two point victories into three points although at the time City never had that amount of points? The Journalist
Nigel Pearson has often said we probably need to grind out a few more draws and these stats certainly back that up.
handsofclay
I've just done some calculations and figured out that you have done the former and added the points won at the time so it will be a bit skewered as there are two points and three points for a win in the totals. No, I just recorded / looked up points awarded at the time. 3 pts for win was introduced for 81 - 82 season. If it had been three points for a win in1976, Bolton not City would have been promoted. City W19 D 15 = 38 + 15 = 53 pts. 3 pts for a win would be 19 pts more = 72. Bolton W 20 D 12 = 40 + 12 = 52 pts. 3 pts for a win = 20 pts more = 72 and they had a better goal difference than City Edited July 26, 2022 by 22A
