Did anyone see Joe getting booked on Tuesday night, all I saw was the referee writting something into his book ,but not producing a yellow card, not even the manager or his team saw  a yellow card being shown ,did  the ref forget to show a yellow card,

It was shown on the footage on TV, he was shown it in the melee after all the pushing and shoving

Yea definitely was booked and from my angle perhaps lucky it was not another colour. Straight leg, studs showing and a bit of force. He did not catch the player so maybe that helped and at the time thought maybe the ref was telling him it was not a clever challenge. But that is all my opinion from my view at the time.

Thought this at the time he def lunged in. A different ref and that's a red card.

Apparently Williams is the dressing room joker with his hilarious scouse humour?...............needs to concentrate on improving his performances, and  avoiding stupid yellow cards?  Sorry to be so sarcastic, but But for me,  he really has been a major disappointment?  .

He was lucky vs QPR too, when he went lunging into a challenge near the touchline but was fortunate that he was so slow that the player was already 2 yards past him by the time he slid in. It actually looked like a Sunday league tackle where the 35 year old fat lad gets rinsed by the nippy young winger.
I get the impression that Williams is trying too hard to ‘play the hard man’ and not focussing on the basics of positional defending.

Or, he just can't do the positional defending?

My observations of Williams is that he is a "pointer". When we are faced with an opposition player running at us in our half he very often finds himself in no man's land and will point at an opposing player, to no one in particular, in an effort to appear he is covering someone else but is actually doing nothing.

Yep, Williams came flying in after the whistle - the yellow was for both  offences. That’s why he’s lucky he didn’t get a straight red.

It looked like more of a red than a yellow to me. Lucky lad. Think their reaction/retaliation might have helped him a bit.
