Car Recommendation?

As you mention track days I would start there and work your way back.

That sort of driving takes a lot out of a car, you will get through brakes and tyres, cooling might become an issue.

I would look at a car that has plenty of affordable parts on offer that you can work with and one that has been designed with this driving in mind rather than looking good in a showroom.

Something like an older Impreza might be handy, it might have had a hard life till now and the transmission won't be cheap if it goes wrong but there is power to enjoy and it is well built from standard.

You might find them with a roll cage already fitted, that might sound extreme but not a bad thing to have around you once on track.
