Results wise perhaps no great surprise but I question whether their general performance level is so bad. They seem to press well, create reasonable numbers of chances but results are all important.

Solidly midtable for the usual underlying performance indicators. Need to get someone in who can turn that into results. Marsch is probably a better coach than this makes him look.

Considering how much he spent on January signings that's a pretty strange time to sack him although I didn't think he'd be a good enough manager for the prem anyhow.

Not a chance Lampard gets anywhere near the Leeds job after his horror show at Everton.

After his time at derby when they played Leeds in the play offs he would be mad to go there .
Leeds fans hate him with a passion .

How long before Southampton are in the market for a new manager too.......

Jones’s comments after Saturday’s game were utterly bizarre.

Truly bizarre. Listened to the interview and he was referring to Luton as 'we' and Southampton 'they'. Not exactly the best thing to hear if you're a player at Soton.

He claims Luton were a fluid, progressive side under him. They absolutely were not. They were shocking when we played them in August.

Marsch seemed to come from that traditional US of A philosophy of ‘mindset, culture, positivity’. You know, all those fluffy things that might get you a fair way in business but don’t get you anywhere with multi millionaire international footballers.
The American version of Nigel Adkins.
Thinks he can progress a football team by instilling a positive mindset.
Only takes you so far. I’m afraid you need a fair bit more substance than that.

There wasn't the additional overthought tactical drivel though

Actually there was. Bizarrely, Marsch favoured a very narrow approach despite having some very good wide players.

I don’t think any US manager would last in England. I don’t think we can take them seriously in the world of football.

I really like Marsch. He's a very good man and interesting to listen to.

Was always going to be a tough act to follow to live up to Bielsa who was so enigmatic and popular.

I think Marsch is a "project" type manager who needs a longer period of time to implement his coaching and ideas on a team. He won't get that at most clubs in the Prem, perhaps with the exception of Brentford or Brighton, and certainly not at Leeds.
