Because he has such an engine and willingness, he's been used in less effective positions imo. Perhaps last season was a one off as well! Sykes is nowhere near as talented a player but he sure is more effective in the current system. Somehow. So our evolution under Pearson gathers pace. Some will get left behind. It was a selection driven by science not tactics.
