It’s quite simple really . Dickson hit the ball, was caught and so given out, whereas the Kent player didn’t hit the ball, so wasn’t given out caught. In all seriousness, you can be given out caught off a wide ball. The one where they appealed for caught behind but turned down was deffo a wide. But wouldn’t have made any difference.
