NcnsBcfc
Good if we can keep as many clubs interested in him as possible. I sense a good old bidding war brewing So much better than just one club meeting the club's valuation, we can drive the agenda over payment terms to our benefit, rather than the buying club. Loosey Boy
Bournemouth now have to decide to pay the money now or risk others (more likely) clubs coming in…….
AshtonRobin21
I think we accept that he is going to move on in the next 2 weeks (likely sooner). What a fantastic talent he is, and we will always be able to say that we have him the platform, in which he excelled. Wolves and Bournemouth (at least) are now going head-to-head for his signature. It’s now extremely likely that our asking price will be met. Nige said a plan is in place for his departure, now let’s see how the squad shapes up at the end of the window. We still have an incredible amount to be positive about within the club, including some fantastic young talent. 7

Hazelboy
Anyone kind of interested to see how well reinvest the money. Not expecting to go out and drop £15m on players but could certainly move the club forward a couple of transfer windows!

A young player with real sell on value as well to one of the big 6 clubs in due course. So many upsides to this sort of transfer for them.
UpTheReds
Competition definitely hotting up for him, wonder if we'll see the likes of West Ham and Brighton now come in too seeing as more than one club is now putting more respectable bids in. ScottishRed
It wouldn’t be my first choice for the lad ( not that my view is remotely relevant), but Wolves could be a smart move. Top class and experienced manager, which is a huge positive for a young player. I expect he would also get a lot of game time. The real negative I have is that they don’t appear to be a ‘settled’ club. There always appears to be negative stuff floating around. Whilst there, they had been paying half the cost of his flights and hotels but our youth team didn't have the budget for that back then so his parents were having to pay it. Not sure that's a case of treating him badly, more a case that the youth team wasn't well funded and wasn't able to contribute at that stage. From what he said though, the move back to Guernsey was a good thing for him so maybe it worked out best for all parties in the end. Scott has gone on record to say he lost his love for the game while playing for Bournemouth and he didn’t enjoy the pressure or the environment there, hence why he went back to Guernsey by his own free will. I don’t think AFCB would be his first choice by any means and besides, he’s never said he actually wants to leave us. That said, money talks. petehinton
I believe it was @Kid in the Riot who said it, but Percy is very close with Nige/his agent/both. I’d say further proof that we are more than likely purposefully letting this out in the open to help kick other clubs into action and help drive the selling price up.
Ziderarmy
Teams he may go to and ku throughts on them as a move - Bournemouth - close to home, by the sea which I assume he likes, will play week jn week out you’d think. Wolves - crap area, think they may struggle next season. Brighton - good club, be a good move and would play a fair bit. West Ham - got the Rice money burning a hole. European football so would more than likely get his chances. Draw of London if he wants that. Liverpool - see Fabio Carvaliho for reference I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. Spurs - can’t see them going to a player like Scott but then again they did similar with Ali. Wouldn’t be a starter. In conclusion - If I was him I’d be looking at Bournemouth and Brighton or West Ham If London is a attraction.

It would be wonderful if football was as we wished it would be, and Bristol City were able to move about and operate within it, as if we were Manchester City. It would be wonderful if by merely showing ambition, everything would fall in to place for Bristol City. It would be wonderful if FFP was just a figment of Mr Popodopolous's festive fiscal imagination. I wish it could be Christmas every day. I wish we could just do what we did in 75/6 with Merrick and Ritchie in 2023 and the rest of the Championship took a year off and we got promoted. Wouldn't that be wonderful? I know it's all part of your brand, but there's no need to belittle people as often as you do.

If the rumors are true and Fabinho is off to Saudi with Henderson likely to follow ( £700k a week would be hard to turn down for any player) Liverpool need midfielders which may bring them into the race. W-S-M Seagull
Hang on, previous posts suggested we should take less than we wanted from Bournemouth because no other bids had been recieved and that there was no other interest in Scott and that there wouldn't be a bidding war. 1
Johnny Musicworks
It will be interesting to see how this ramps up in the next few days. This £20m plus add-ons could be a goer or will we hang on to see if any of the bigger fish come in. Have we put a price out there where we will just accept an offer or was it just a starting figure ? By now I imagine we know the level of interest and whether we should play the slow game and wait for a feeding frenzy or just do a quick deal. That could depend if our plan B includes a specific target that would be otherwise unattainable. Either way it’s livening up a rather dull weekend for some of us. LondonBristolian
Much as I'd love him to stay, a quick deal that gives us plenty of time to bring in any other targets ahead of the season is the second best scenario.

I think you'll find the Semenyo money has been spent on those players and their wages. Lansdown has previously said that any money the football club makes it can spend. I'm starting to smell gas.
