Based in Weston-Super-Mare, Mark has been a City supporter since 1987, and is also one of the admins on the One Team In Bristol (OTIB) internet forum. The online forum is the largest Social Media account attached to Bristol City with over 18,000 signed up members and is funded by the SC&T. Mark follows City both home and away and has been a season ticket holder in the Dolman Stand for many of those years, and has been a member of the SC&T since the former Supporters Trust had the launch night back in November 2005, and regularly attends the monthly meetings. Away from City, Mark is also a supporter of Somerset Country Cricket Club and professionally works in Process and Quality Assurance for a Worldwide Health Company. Mark stated “As the football club signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the SC&T back in September 2021, part of its commitment was to keep fans informed and engaged. Along with the SC&T, I aim to build on and improve the communication between the football club, SC&T and our fanbase. This will be mainly via OTIB but also for those who contact the SC&T directly”. Mark continued “As the forum is open to anyone to join no matter where they are in the world it offers the easiest way for supporters of all ages and backgrounds to engage directly not only with fellow supporters, but also with the football club’s Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) and the SC&T”. “I am also part of a smaller committee from the SC&T who meet on a regular basis with senior officials from the football club, representing fans’ views”. Chair Stu Rogers on the new appointment: “I am delighted that Mark has joined the board, bringing with him a deep understanding of what it is to be a City fan and his valuable connection with supporters through OTIB” Mark was co-opted onto the board in our October meeting and will formally join at our upcoming AGM which shall take place before the end of the year.
