Silvio Dante
In the studio tonight and BBCRB are soliciting questions. Unclear if fans will get the opportunity to ask in person, or if Liam will walk out in disbelief after Tony Wilkins gets through.

Boys very willing to listen and work hard. Good group. Early days, Still getting to know the boys and the staff. Will take a few games for our work to come through. Always learning in this job. Too early to decide what we will do in January. Superb facilities at HPC. Great to have the Academy players on same site and see the quality coming through. The Lansdowns have done a great job" 5 18

Silvio Dante
It may sound silly, but in a game of small margins I don’t think Liams demeanour will do him any favours (and again I’d note that what he is like with the players will be different to how he projects to the fans). If you read any Oxfords fans views the consensus is that he is relatively dispassionate in interviews and gives little away. It certainly won’t be “box office” like Nige, and although he wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, he was a character who many warmed to. I don’t want to rake over the circumstances of his appointment again, but it is a fact that he’s not coming in with a lot of “new manager currency”. A relatively dour interview style won’t be something that galvanises and gets fans onside - and I think he needs that positive on the pitch start all the more in view of that. 6

What on earth are you going to challenge him about? It's not like we have anything to judge him by yet?! It's bonkers how quick "fans" are to start sharpening their pitchforks. petehinton
For a moment there, likely down to a combination of how poor/non eventful QPR was, and how long this international break he felt, I genuinely forgot he was our head coach

Popular Post Leabrook
Summary: - not having a game allows us to focus on our principles. - only 3 players away with international team. In-house game on Thursday - Conway decided to stay which speaks volumes about him as a person - proud moment for Bell. Looking forward to working with him - main focus on international break was working with the ball. Main focus before qpr game was work without the ball. Watched a lot of games back and thinks we can do better with the ball, attacking - the game evolves and we have to evolve with it. In training this week the players have picked it up quickly. Exciting how coachable they are. - not looking at major changes. Loves the intensity and directness, attacking with speed. Aligned with how he wants to play. Tweaks on defending side. - players are given key principles of how they want to play. Accepts mistakes will happen. Managing emotion is very important. Principles need to be underpinned by behaviours - can’t speak highly enough of the changing room and the players willingness to work. Overloaded them tactically last week and they dealt with it. Gives the information in whatever way needed as different players work better with different types of info - players cant hear him a lot on sideline so players are tasked with communicating with each other and make decisions. Need to problem solve in the moment. Certain level of freedom to make decisions. He can’t solve it for them during games - there’s a few academy players been really pleased with. Inter club game very useful. Stayed and watched 21s and 18s afterwards as well. should always look to ‘recruit’ internally to first team squad before looking outside club - discussions on transfer window and adding. Sounds like at least one signing will be made. Weekly meetings now about it. Impressed with recruitment team. They are watching a huge number of games over many countries. - wouldn’t rule out loans. Can’t go too heavy on loans. 17
