Bow_Legged_Chicken
Thick its something to do with maximising profits. Another case of if we can fob you off with some cheap rubbish and make £30 on each shirt rather than only make £25 and give you a nice quality one then we bloody will cause your going to buy them anyway. If your looking for customer staisfaction then look elsewhere cause its something this club really doesn't specialise on!!!
Guest WillsbridgeRed
I don't see why there's such an obsession with having City shirts made by one of the main sports brands. Surely City shirt sales will stay the same what ever brand makes them, as the only people that are going to be buying them are City fans!
Bow_Legged_Chicken
Not the point of having Nike on the shirts its the point of having a half decent shirt to wear for once. All our other shirts have been boring #### and this season is beyond a joke and I have actually bought a Southampton top before a buy a city one cause the city ones are rubbish. Wears me centenery one.

It don't matter what the label is - it could be "Man at Matalan" provided that the shirt is BCFC and is of good quality! Perhaps that's a silly example though! The Man In Black
Aha, this old nugget of shirts again. Why oh why do some people want to buy a shirt just because it is manufactured by a certain 'brand'? I'll never understand it... The idea of 'I'd buy it for the label' shows how superficial some people are. Here's news to you: image isn't everything in life. In fact, most people who wear 'named' clothes end up looking like walking billboards. The whole idea of having to wear a certain brand to be 'cool' is laughable at best. Anyhow, back to football shirts. The club get a better profit from going with someone like TFG (can't complain too much about that. Although I admit it would be nicer if the shirts were slightly cheaper). And ethical people like me can sleep better knowing that my shirt wasn't made in a sweatshop in Indonesia but a factory in Scotland (Glasgow I think, Richard Gould answered a question about this before on the old forum)
Bow_Legged_Chicken
To a certain extent I do but because of labels but only because that label happens to produce good quality clothes with a bit of style and fashion to them. TFG shirts aren't of alright quality however the designs are far from fashonable and stylish, they are basically adapting old styles to make them look new when really its styles that have been out for ages. New home shirt = 2 seasons ago darker fabrc slight changes. New Away shirt = about 2 season ago we had a training top exactly the same but as a t-shirt. Big names like Nike didn't just become big over night, the brand had to become big in the first place so it must be better at designing. If Nike manufactured a shirt as bysmal as the two this year i would not buy it however if we did have nike i would be confident that they would produce something more original more interesting, fashinable and stylish. Therefore more people would go out and buy it so the money lost in having a better manufacturer could be made up in increased shirt sales. This season is the first season I hafe not bought a shirt on or very near to the realease date purely because imfed up with the club using the attitude of they are going to buy it anyway. I'm not getting ripped off with shoddy shirts with old designs its a disgrace in my eyes. Saying that I will get bored of wearing my centenery shirt and give in o themand buy one no matter how shoddy it is, but shouldn't really as it will only encourage them to do it again.
