ChippenhamRed
Hope he’s OK. He will absolutely have to retire this time.
cidercity1987
It appears he is ok. So I feel justified to say that some point there is a duty of care to the crowd not to see these traumatic events. For both himself and the audience it seems correct to retire

BCFCGav
Sad for him but he has to retire at this point. Football isn’t worth your health. Hope he recovers quick.
LondonBristolian
Poor guy. Thoughts with him and his family and I hope he is okay. I can’t help feeling it would be more appropriate to hold off on speculating on his long term career prospects at this moment in time. No doubt he will get appropriate medical advice at the appropriate moment.

Lorenzos Only Goal
This is really bad, whoever gave him the all clear back in May has obviously missed something. It's shame as he seemed to be really cutting it in the Premier League.
Lack of Action Man
Good grief, hope he’s alright. I understand he’s already undergone heart surgery following his previous collapse? Very Worrying that he’s had a subsequent collapse despite this.

Anyway all the best to him and hope he’s ok and fully recovers.

Could be a Stent problem, if one was fitted in the last surgery, they are very prone to misbehaving. In most cases the second stent is usually more reliable. I know a few men who have had this problem and after the refitting they have been OK, although, these men were much older and didn't play football. Anyway, I hope he makes a full recovery and can continue playing.
The Nest Egg
A hell of a player and leader. His safety and health must come first. Will be a real loss to the game. Edited December 16, 2023 by The Nest Egg

HappyClapper
Now confirmed that he suffered cardiac arrest on the pitch, but was stable and responsive when taken off on the stretcher. Must be extremely concerning for those close to him.

I guess he'd now be advised not to play (if he wasn't already). And presumably he will take the very serious second hint.

Open End Numb Legs
I have no medical training but find it uncomfortable watching players who have his type of history, fearing for their safety. It must be very tough to turn your back on the game but you have to take nature's hint sometimes.
