RUSSEL85
More than held our own against a Premier League side, again. We are certainly not out of this tie yet.
1team
We had our chance 1st half. Forest weren't good in or out of possession. They will be better next time.

The trouble between the large group of supporters started on Radcliffe Road, Nottingham, after Saturday's game. The nearby Amici wine bar was damaged inside and out during the incident. Four bookings in the first half, but it wasn't a dirty foul ridden game. With it not being on any British TV channels (I think), then unlikely to be many of those. But I get what you mean. Dan Robin
They grew in the second half and the game was even: glad we didn't concede in the last minutes. Good refereeing. Hard task to win the replay, but never say never. Edited January 26 by Dan Robin

It’s what happens when VAR isn’t around to ruin the game. Plenty of robust tackles but nothing dirty - the ref had a decent game. Hopefully we should have Awoniyi and Sangare back for the replay. fgrsimon
Good effort, draw was fair. Not much threat upfront. Would like to see Wells and Conway together at least for 15 mins. Struggling to explain Chris Wood's header in the second half!

eardun
3 minutes ago, ralphindevon said: Good game that we had the best of. Both teams poor with decision making in the attacking box Agree with that. It’s the decision making in the final position that’s the issue, eg Bell passing to Anis instead of shooting, Pring stepping over for Wells tap in, better crosses etc.

George Rs
Couple signings with good final ball ability and composure in and around the box and I think we could do some serious damage. Let’s hope someone comes in before 1st of feb!

Tim Monaghan
So, as we’ve seen Manning favours a high possession, high pressing style of football that is similar to what teams like Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea use. He likes to play with three at the back, two wing-backs, two creative midfielders and a lone striker. This system allows us to dominate the ball, create chances and press the opposition high up the pitch. It also gives us defensive solidity and flexibility to switch formations if needed. This style of play works well against Premier League teams because they also like to play out from the back and keep the ball. We can disrupt their rhythm, force them into mistakes and exploit the spaces they leave behind. However, this style of play is not as effective against Championship teams because they are more physical, direct and like to play a much deeper block against us. We’ve struggled against teams like this in the league, so, are we better suited to play in the Premier League than the championship? 1 2

Super
The problem isn't just a striker we have no real goal threat from the wings. Sykes is a huge miss for us.

Well in our 3 “premier league” games we average 1.66 points per game, over 38 games that’s 63 points and a top 10 finish.

It was too predictable, no league points at stake so why not try it? Last season Wells and Conway were superb together. Neither are a lone striker, this needs sorting.
