Cornick

Sounds like it’s ANOTHER bad hamstring injury picked up, this time for Cornick.

Good thing Tinnion & JL didn’t publicly blame the previous medical team for our injury problems (when 90% were in-game injuries), they’d really be looking very ******* stupid if they did.

Oh….

Seemed obvious he signalled to the bench, real shame because I thought he was excellent for the hour he was on.

Rapidly running out of players.

Yes for all the stick he takes. I  feel he puts in a shift when he plays and is a handful for defenders because of his awkward style.  Did well tonight

Hopefully he’ll just be a week away then, in that case

(a week away = misses 8 games)

🤣

If Manning says not, I'd expect him to be pronounced dead in the morning.

Oh….

The majority of them previously were contact injuries I believe?

Now it's flipped the other way and it's non contact injuries which is concerning.

Thats because Liam dosnt want the youngsters as he sent them all out on loan.

Certainly that’s a factor.

He clearly believes Mebude is a better bench option than Yeboah or Nelson, but I’ve not seen anything yet that supports his view.

“If you’re talking about injuries, in the last seven or eight weeks we’ve probably not been giving the players the best platform, training-wise, to achieve what they want to and of course that goes into your thinking.

“There are multiple reasons, international breaks - we took nine days off in the first one and 10 days off in the second one, which is pretty much unheard of at this level.

“We came into the season really well-conditioned, really good physically and you could see it when we were playing, I believe we’ve been at real risk of deconditioning ourselves during the international breaks."

I think about this a lot. Along with him then saying basically ‘I’m not getting personally and I can’t go into the details….but here are the details and you know exactly who would’ve planned this”

Maybe for the style of play Pearson wanted across a whole season he realised that pushing the players during the international breaks was counter-productive in terms of maintaining their well-being over 9 months? I am sure he wouldn’t have let them just pile on the pounds but neither would he have reamed out anyone for gaining 3lbs like Guardiola did to Kalvin Phillips while he was in England duty…

JL & Tinns were very deliberately cryptic with their wording. I think they purposefully made it sound like the players were given 9/10 days totally ‘off’ and on the sun lounger doing nothing.

From what I can see over the last few games we aren’t as fit as we were under the previous regime

I hated that comment….from a Chairman, no less.

I hate the thought of making comments against medical professionals.  I didn’t stoop that low even with Andy Rolls.

But they decided to sack Dave Rennie.  They also lost Paddy Orme (Swansea I think) around that time.

They opened a can of worms.

This comes back to both ignorance  and arrogance that they know more than experts and specialists on the part of JL and BT.
