The theme of the week seems to be the reference:Ā haveĀ to tweak [your own philosophies] and understand the culture and expectations of the club. Amazingly, the journos didn't pounce on that comment. Yeah that was (other than asking Scott out on a date) was the key thing for me but I think itās been done to death this week!Ā Ā The Twine bit I do think heās over egging - notably the RB journo led into the question with āI know you donāt give much awayā - he couldnāt be more clear he wanted Twine even before this presser if heād had one of those āGolf Saleā sandwich boards on! Scott wasnāt terrific against Watford (IIRC 45% pass completion) and although excellent against Rotherham, he has been largely peripheral. Robbored
That was the most enjoyable presser that Iāve seen from Manning. He seemed very relaxed and in a good place - possibly because itās the last game and pressure isnāt so great. A little disappointed that he didnāt ābig upā Williams tho. JW has been excellent and very influential in the engine room. I wanted Manning to say that heād like to keep him but wasnāt forthcoming.
