Robbored
Its an interesting stance from the Police. They reckon that foul and obscene language is unacceptable - especially at football matches where there are families. Perpertrators of abusive language will be approached by the Police and asked to curb their profanities.Failure to do so could result in an arrest and a £100 fine. When asked by Alan Brazil what they would do when faced with a large group of fans swearing - they reckoned they wouldn't do anything for the risk of inflaming the situation. So..if your're into swearing,do it in a crowd of like minded people and not on your own.
England
A fine is pants - they should be locked up for five years minimum - edit - and spitting should be a minimum of ten years or the filthy perpetrators made to crawl and lick it up! newboy
Bo11ocks is in the Oxford English dictionary. How can they ban words if they are not inciting violence? Is it better to say "######## me! good ###### goal!" or "Let's go and kick their heads in and rip out their guts, the moronic inbreds!"? How bizarre! What a police state we live in..... We'll be done for speeding when there's no-one else on the road next...

As for this country being a 'Police state' - well it is and has been more so since the days of the High Priestess of the Police - Margaret Thatcher. Compliment someone on how "####ing nice" they are though, and you're going down for 5 years.
