I find the message "Sorry, currently sort out" a little curious. Are they holding back tickets so that all the early birds don't get them all?

I'm clutching at straws but I've got nothing else to grab hold of.

Same thing happened when they went on first time, OAP tickets for the Williams were still showing when everywhere else was sold out!!! I think they ask to see NUS when you pick your tickets up!

I couldnt get any adult tickets and i aint going to get down the gate today so i got student ticks and i reckon they wont bother checking too hard as half the people turning up with student tickets wont be simply because they couldnt get anything else even if they were online at 9 on the dot...

funnily enough i am a mature student and have a card but my sister, who is a regular, is a lecturer so she might have to borrow something off her students or just blag it  , i really cant see them turning people away....

AND theres probably some spotty oik sat in my seat in the atyeo anyway.

As at 9.34AM the only tickets left available are for Senior Citizens. Why did they split it up like that??!!!

& how many children under 16 are going to be able to pay online with a credit card. Should have just priced everyone the same amount.

They don't check for student cards, ive done it 4 times this season, they just hand you the envelope, if you leave it last minute to pick them up then with it being busy theyll just rush!

Just lie your way through, its all a load of balls the way theyve done the tickets so it goes both ways!

Now as at 9.38AM, it says only Student tickets available. Must be a way of stopping people buying up tickets bulk.

Hopefully it will switch back to 'Adult' in a minute

I think thats a stupid way of doing it, because i imagine a lot of people bought tickets for the category they arent, just to ensure they got a ticket.

i guess the tickets they allocated for personal callers may not sell out, and the remaining tickets from that could go online.

I was trying from 9.05 and by the time the page eventually came up, there were none left. Not happy.

don't refresh it, just close it and open it again from the city site, it works better.

I don't care what they say at the gate saturday, if they try turning me away because of my ticket I am going to go crazy! I will pay the extra money because i don't care about that, i just wanted 2 tickets :grr:

Yep, agree....while in page, click link 'Home Tickets'

It will take you out of the page and you will have to click for the game again (sometimes it is greyed out)

When you return into the page, it will have a different page allocation

If by chance, you do manage to order a ticket online, does anyone have any idea if they send it to you, do you have to pick it up from the ground or just turn up on the day?

Just hope you don't get a jobs worth dealing with you on Saturday otherwise you could end up disapointed!!

Could you not select for the tickets to be deliverd to your home address?

No, they are all collect on the day, however my email said:

Maybe they predicted this day! 4 Years of planning and still buggered it up!

Seriously, I hope a lot of other clubs/fans etc don't see these ticketing arrangements.

It's ###### embarrassing.

We couldn't run a pi$$ up in a brewery when it comes to big games.

We think big as fans, we have a team starting to deliver lately but our club staff wouldn't be out of place in the conference at times.

Still selling student tickets as of 2 mins ago...

Well that would be nice, but its just oldies on mine....i cant even be bothered to be annoyed anymore, its just too pathetic.

At least the Brighton tickets have been frozen, how nice of the club, now i can go to that for less whilst billy big game only goes to the boro game....changed my mind, i,m still annoyed.

Are we all getting different options then?

I had oldies only for about half an hour and now nothing at all offered.

Got my own ticket but been trying to get one for the old man now and it's a ****ing joke.

He is 59, that's close enough to Senior Citizen innit?

Farcical this is.

Hey but its all ok, as a reward for all our patience, you can get tonights tickets on the cheap, plus the programme from the original fixture (2 weeks ago) will only be 1 pound!!!! :disapointed2se::doh::angry:

Yeah cos that makes the thousands theyve earned from us ringing/being on hold/getting cut off again all ok.

It does take the pee somewhat doesnt it? I was ringing for hours to try and get it that stupid que the other day for telephone tickets, and was hung up on everytime, as i was told everytime to hold for the next availiballe operator and then hung up on anyway, i may send the club my telephone bill, as i was given false information...it should have said 'please hold while Colin Sexstone makes some more cash, and No operator will deal with your call, we,ll then hang up on you and you can ring back again for a chance, a slight chance of joining the cue, thankyou for your money' not even a goodbye if i recall correctly.

Just got back from the gate. Was up at 5am, got in the queue at 6.15, 15th in line, fold up chair, flask of tea and test match special to get me through, posed for the journalists, and scored my 4 dolman tickets easy! :D :D

Just been fiddling around with the online ticket shop. Ridiculous. Firstly all sold out, then available. Then just students, but can only buy 1. refresh. now only OAP tickets left. again can only buy 1. refresh. all sold out. refresh. students again available. again can only buy 1.

absolutely crazy!! Why are there cerain allocations of tickets!?! Surely it's just a set number of tickets and then discounts if you qualify for them?! And heaven knows why the refresh button is the key to making more tickets available.

I thought internet sales was a crazy idea. Firstly it disadvantages the people who turned up and queued in the freezing cold. And it's a system that is open to going wrong in so many ways! As the "refresh saga" has indeed proved. I thought phone sales would have been a far easier, and fairer system to operate.

Still i've got my 4 tickets! :D With 2 more to come via the sponsors!! :D i usually moan at corporate allocations but when you know the right people it can work to your advanatge!

The thought of sitting out in the cold at that time of the morning has made the difficulty of internet ordering ALMOST seem worthwhile :D

Last week I was well happy with how things were going for my club. I even made a post on here that we could turn Oldham over, I was full of enthusiasm. I was starting to think that this might just be our year. It takes a lot to get some of us City fans into that frame of mind because of the seemingly endless disappointments of the last few years.

Anyway, I had a little long weekend trip over to Ireland to visit family, left on Thursday first thing.

I knew the Boro tickets were going on sale and I called over 20 times on Friday and wasn't able to get through, they couldn't even put me in a queue.

I called again on Saturday morning another 3 or 4 times (I'm not even sure if it was open).

I called again yesterday as soon as I got through arrivals at Bristol Airport at 1pm.

Now at this point, despite all this hassle I'm feeling good about the club, we're doing well in 3 competitions, bringing in pacey players and we got a fantastic result on Saturday.

I finally got through at 1:30 to have some idiot tell me that the deadline was an hour ago and refuse to give me any help whatsoever in getting my season ticket seat for the game because the tickets had been sent to another office - and then lie to me when I asked to speak to someone senior and tell me noone else was there when I could HEAR Sexstone in the background.

As a result there'll be some Billy Big Game who can't even recognise the players sat in my seat against Middlesborough and the only way I'll get to see it is if I can scrounge a sodding east end ticket off my brother. (I've nothing against people who want to use the east end but for me personally the view is shit.)

I'm going to be popping in for a word or three with Mr Sexstone later this week and explaining to him in no uncertain terms just how the arrangements for this game were a complete and utter shambles.

There's absolutely no excuse for it.

There was never any need to put any tickets on general sale until this week and there's no reason other than laziness that a season ticket holder can't use the internet to reserve theirs - all it needs is a house number/postcode check.

They didn't think it would sell out? Then they're totally incompetent, a cup game against a Prem side when we're on form was always going to sell out.

It pisses me right off that all that positivity that GJ and the players have worked so hard to get fans feeling is drained off by the inept commercial management of the club.

Thats my predicament, however I'm 18!! I'm going to try ringing up now :noexpression:

In my dim and distant memory I think I've turned up before to collect the 'wrong' category of tickets. Just own up and they will reprint the tickets without 'concession' printed on them and charge you the difference.

Get there early though because you won't be popular with a queue of 2000 behind you.

Xiled.

i finish work at 1, from chippenham going straight there so hoping to be there at 2, will probably get stuck in a lot of traffic.

I'm just going to tell them it was the only tickets i could get and I'm quite happy to pay the extra £4 or whatever it is.

I must say when i seen we won 3-0 last week i was very optimistic about this game, but then i seen the boro score!! going to be a fair few goals in this one.

They are back on line now, what a fiasco!

I phoned the ticket office and explained that I had bought an OAp ticket, I was told "don't worry as long as you have got one, just turn up and pay the difference".

Roll on promotion this will be the norm every week!

Big club, what a joke!

Thank you very much for that information! Makes me feel happier about Saturday

Just phoned the ticket office to give them one last try before calling Mr Sexstone and spoke to someone who was actually helpful this time. Result - I got one of the last two remaining tickets in block D in the Dolman, not in my seat which had been sold despite being sandwiched in between my mates but at least I can see the game now.

If anyone's in a similar position, in that they're a season ticket holder who hasn't been able to get through, try giving them a call now and explain it - you might get lucky. They'll only sell you one ticket though obviously.

I still think the club need to do have a serious look at the whole shambles and explain what they're going to do differently in future and I'll be writing to Mr Sexstone to suggest some things (that may include getting a sodding clue).

Glad you got sorted -

but - As you said CS will view the game as a successful operation. He's filled the ground, and to him your £19 is exactly the same as Mr-One-Game-a-Season's £19. Don't confuse him with someone that gives a ***k.

I really get angry when I hear him refer to supporters as "punters".............a term which to me conjurs up the image of a mug - someone who is to be relieved of as much of his money as possible whilst giving as little as possible in return.
