Br 1st ol Posted January 26, 2008 Report Share Posted January 26, 2008 I think we now know we are looking to sign a player with current, active involvement with other championship sides or at least at a similar level...not just fringe or reserve team players.If we really are going to have a tilt at promotion, this season, GJ has indicated we need a proven srorer who can have impact in the next few weeks, not a player with potential to realise in the next few years.So, presuming negotiations are underway, lets see if any leading strikrs are 'injured' today from other teams...it may give us a clue...Please report any absentees here. Earnshaw has proved himself at the prem just needs a side which will play him week in, week out. Adebola for me is too old can still score but he;'d be short term at best. For me if we pick up Earnshaw wouldn't be a bad signing though didn't Norwich buy him from the prem for 2 million or something? Different roles. A player of the type of Adebola then if that makes it easier. But who is available?We simply don't need a striker of the "Adebola" type because we play with two wingers and a passing midfield, we don't play long ball shite. Besides, Brooker can do that.
