City had to send some of their Stewards to Chester that day to help Chester cope with the large crowd.
Two years earlier City were home to Chester, the only team beneath us, for the last game of that season. Both sides knew they were already relegated, but 3,200 attended. To me those are true fans, especially the travelling Chester fans.

Palace 4-0 up.
And before the game, the "Studio Experts" were telling us that away to Palace gave Utd a chance to climb back up the table.

England's best non league players were selected for England C;

So if Donny get promoted, when they visit the Mem, Rovers could have special glassware produced for the occasion.

When Moyes was managing PNE, City were interested in him, but the then directors of Preston refused City permission to speak to him.

Tomorrow is the Nat Lge South final; Worthing v Braintree.
At Full Tie it's 3-3. No niggly fouls, just two competing teams. All six goals have been well taken after being made out of nothing. Old friend Freddie Sears is playing for Braintree; he's had a few shots, but not scored yet.
Extra Time just started.
To any City forwards or midfielders reading this, try and watch highlights of this game. They'll show you how to finish.

East Kilbride got a free pass thru the Lowland/Highland league playoff because Buckie Thistle’s ground deemed not to be up to SFL standards.
Damn! Brechn led the league most of the season, but ended up 2nd on goal diff from Buckie. Buckie +64, Brechin +62.
Brechin's ground is up to SFL standards.

Bromley win 4-3 on pens.
If City decide to sign a striker this Summer, they could do worse than take a look at Sbarra of Solihull.

This afternoon, live on TNT Sports; the Nat League play off final. Who would you prefer in the EFL; Bromley or Solihull?
Tomorrow is the Nat Lge South final; Worthing v Braintree.
Due to weather postponements earlier in the season, the Scottish non league play offs aren't yet decided.

Found this on a forum for fans of all clubs;
Leicester 0-2 Blackburn.
Not the best end to an odd season.Yeah. Thanks. Cheers. Well done.
A Birmingham Fan.
(We only needed 1 of Blackburn, Plymouth or Sheff Wed to lose, but despite doing it all season, you all managed to win today..... Unbelievable Jeff !! )- 1

Boston won 2-1 and are promoted to the National League. Both sides went for it right to the end. With just two minutes remaining, instead of running the ball to the corner flag Boston players went looking for a third goal.
2002 City played Boston away in the LDV trophy. Any of you on here go up there for it?

I've never loved the blues more than I do right now.
My 9 year old said to me he doesn't care what league we're in as long as we can go to the game
James and Donovan will really grow in L1 as well.

PNE, like City lost one more game than they won. They also ended up with negative goal difference.

I've never understood this belief. My first City game in Feb 69 was a 2-1 win for City. The following season City only won one away game and that was at Preston. December 72 at Deepdale, 1-0 down after 12 seconds, 2-0 after 12 mins, City pulled those 2 goals back, but conceded a third before HT. Final score 3-3.

Going out now on TNT Sports; Brackley v Boston in the Nat League North final. An open game so far between two attack minded teams. Looks a more entertaining game than that at the 365 this afternoon.

Rather Bolton than Barnsley….
Barnsley have near neighbours in Rotherham, Huddersfield and Sheffield. Whoever gets relegated with Rotherham will have reduced travelling next season.
With Sheff U relegated out of the Prem and Leeds possibly blowing their promotion run, not too much to cheer about in South and West Yorks.

Shades of Danny Wilson at City? Because they lost in their Play Off game against local rivals Sunny, Boston have sacked their manager.

If Rovers need a new home; may I suggest Dunlewey Celtic? They are located in Donegal, but thier ground could cope with an influx or thousands quite easily.

Stoke's Manager appears to have the same problems and ambitions as we do for our club.

Snippets from the final Stoke pre match press conference today. Ennis has sustained a knee problem and is unavailable as is Haks who has a groin problem. Gooch has trained this week and Leris is OK following his illness.
When questioned on the task he faced on coming to Stoke he intimated that some of the internal matters were a challenge. He also stated that contract talks will take place with players like Ty and Jordan Thompson. Thompson does have an extension clause that is in Stoke's favour
The plan for next season is to push on, get away from the foot of the table and be in the top half. For all the difficulties, he has enjoyed the experience and it will help him in the future
