and followed it up with eight against Walsall.
That was an odd game 1-0, 1-1, 1-2 HT and then City came out to score seven without reply.
That was 2014-15. Fifty years earlier in 1964-65 City won promotion to Div 2 (as was) and stayed there until 75-76 before progressing. If we are in a fifty year cycle, City will finish mid table this season as in 1973-74, higher next and could 2025-2026 be it?

OK; six hours later and looking back.
Yes a disappointing result, but the big positive for me was that having a conceded late in the game, the heads didn't drop as they would have a few weeks back. Instead they went looking for and got a goal back. Deserved or not, that was another point in the bag that a month ago we wouldn't have.

HT fans are either moaning there's no striker on the pitch or else slagging on the Ref;

Anyone know anything about Backwell ?
Backwell is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of North Somerset and in 2011 had a population of 4,589.[1] The village lies about 7 miles (11 km) southwest of Bristol, south of the A370 to Weston-super-Mare.

Reverting to the OP; Joe Jordan managed both clubs and amongst Huddersfield's famous fans, I'd include former PM Harold Wilson

No, Joe got four.

Allowing for inflation, some transfers from 100+ years ago might be in this list.

Meanwhile; https://downatthemac.proboards.com/thread/119751/bristol-city-htafc
There's no chance we win as we can't score more than 1 and we aren't keeping a clean sheet. 2 or 3-1 Bristol.
I don’t think we have the players capable of beating Bristol. Hoping for a point but I reckon it’ll be another pasting and another nail in the coffin.
Its been obvious for some time, we cant play deep, we cant go gung ho forward but we are pretty decent at flooding from halfway to our 18 yard line and competing there, to break when we can.

In my dim and distant memory can I remember Dickie Rooks, R.I.P, scoring a cracking own goal vs Huddersfield in front of the Park End?
Late 60s early 70s?
Correct; 'field won 2-1 on a December or January day and went on to win promotion to Div 1.

I've just seen on SSN that the EFL will not deduct Leicester points this season, but they will be liable to a deduction next season.

Meanwhile cricket's county championship is streaming on Youtube; Here's the link for Glos v Yorks. other games are available if you search.

For those interested in Scottish stuff; at the foot of their League 2 and with four games remaining, five points separate the bottom four. Starnraer are currently bottom and would have to beat the winners of Highland League v Lowland League to retain their league status. Brechin are currently narrowly top of the Highland. In the Lowland; East Kilbride are six points clear at the top and have played two games less than the team in second.
Given their worse weather "up there" do their groundsmen have a different way of maintaining decent playing surfaces?

Odds on a Sammy Szmodics hat-trick tonight? I hope not as the chances of us scoring four are minuscule.
Always believe!!

If HW is redundant, that means he's Out of Contract. Would he be any good as centre forward?

Do they think a vertical orientated pitch might help with the goal scoring?
Then they really would be going down hill

What is the current mood on gaschat please? If City lost 2-0 at home on the Saturday and the Tuesday, OTIB would be in meltdown. When I try accessing gaschat I'm met with;

We’ll certainly be a Championship club next season and I’d to see us finish as high as possible this time around .
Agreed. Does the club receive more from the EFL for finishing 7thrather than 17th?

My favourite memory; playing Cardiff Dickie was marking tall John Toshack. Going for a high ball, Dickie outjumped JT and won applause for that simple header from the AG faithful. I met him once in Boots at Broadmead. Although not a match day, he was wearing his City jacket.

Too much Championship footie on show?

Brian Clough said that if too much football was shown on TV, the public would lose their appetite for going to games. He, like many others was content for two games Sat night with ITV showing some on Sun afternoon.
