I was thinking I remembered something about this. Apart from the geography isn’t Long Ashton P&R different in that the car park is owned by a private company and they contract in the bus service whereas the ones at Bris and Shire are wholly City Council owned so if they want them open then they open, if they want to use it for event parking then they can. I’d imagine the LA one involves a conversation around a private company sensing an additional quick buck or two.

As per usual bending the truth like a black hole bends light. They have the highest attendance for a football league trophy final at the millennium stadium of about 59,000. Nowhere near the largest attendance at a Wembley based football league trophy final which was about 85,000. And to add context to the 59,000 at the millennium, our attendance there v Brighton in the play offs was 65,000. You would expect that though being so close to it………. In fact, thinking about it they are closer so should have easily taken more as the journey is easier for them.?

Having recently moved to Worle I’m looking to go to a few Weston matches. The only thing that has stopped me so far is that I live up by Morrisons so it’s either a 3 mile ish walk each way or the number 7 scenic bus tour via all hamlets. Does any body have any hacks in terms of quicker ways of getting there please? I could drive of course but was hoping to have a beer so that would be last option. Are there any short cuts that people know of?

That’s not really what it’s about is it? It’s more about how different political views can be more or less politically acceptable depending on the current popular climate. To judge the popular climate people need to make their views heard. So really the Overton Window is the opposite of what you state. See that is the point. I’m trying to buy a season ticket in the south stand. But cannot because it is sold out for next season. So it is a major deal, as I cannot afford to buy a season ticket anywhere else as I have saved a specific amount and that does not stretch to a Dolman Wings season ticket.

I’m in the same boat. Haven’t had one since covid but can finally afford to get one again. Amazing as that stand is half empty most of the time. Have to wait and see what’s about the day after “move your seat day” before the prices go up the day after that again.
