They’re nice, Nice.

He was the best player in a dog shit team that finished at the very bottom of the third tier. Then he got relegated with the Dons. Must be ******* amazing then! Just cos he doesn’t want to be in League 2 doesn’t mean that he is better than that level. For example I want a promotion at work but if I’m not good enough then I’m not going to get it. They sure as hell won’t go, yeah it’s yours, even though we have much better people, just because you want it.

To be fair to NP he took over a club in a hell of a mess and is still a year away from sorting it. Most fans understand that, and can see we have a way to go before we will be financially and structurally repaired thanks to previous employees. As for your mob and JB, every so often there’s a gobby git that lemmings will want to follow. It’s all transient though, both managers will move on, we’ll both have our catastrophes and our celebrations and still take the mickey as often as we can.

Ashton gate halt and the Portishead rail line (Merged)
GreedyHarry replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
I don’t disagree with you, but the railway isn’t concerned with the risk of a pedestrian crossing the road. To be blunt it’s none of its business. They are however concerned with a pedestrian or vehicle misusing a level crossing and the consequences of that. So with that very narrow view, better to have no area where trains and vehicles/pedestrians can conflict and therefore no level crossing. -

It’s just taken me more minutes than I’m willing to admit to, to work out what the figures to the lower right (to the right of the time elapsed in the match) on the scoreboard are ? -

Policy which is backed by the ORR is no new crossings, so would need a road overbridge, and that would add hugely to the costs. I agree in the poor foresight of the developers and council though. -
**** me, Ian’s older than I thought

We could always have 606 page thread on the Fruit Pie stadium.

Reinforces Danny Baker’s argument that they are pathological liars, as the announced attendance is the amount of tickets sold these days. So, they obviously unsold about 800 tickets?

Struggling with the maths in this one to be honest. If ever there was an example to show your workings this has to be it… keygas First Team 19 hours ago Quote Can’t deny that Bristol football has been sh*t for years , but I still think the interest & hunger is still there & I always laugh when people say it’s more of a rugby city When you consider that In the last 10 days a combined total of 33000 people have watched the 2 Bristol clubs, & Rovers opening match , judging by the amount of people on social media who were still trying to get tickets leading up to & on the day of the match which had sold out a couple of weeks earlier, that total would have been far greater.

I like the fact it’s similar to Quest. Only down point for me is the championship bit is done in 45 minutes whereas I thought the old version was an hour

Hull City away match day thread

I’m going to listen to the vacuum for 20 minutes at the final whistle. It’s the only time I can get motivated enough for that task? -

Ah, ok that one doesn’t work on Weston. All good on DAB though. Just didn’t want my radio getting depressed. -

Shite! Radio Bristol have changed things around. I turned on FM and was treated to that dirge they sing in a very small pocket of north-east Bristol. City on DAB today -

They’re still doing the work that on any other line, would have been done before passenger trains were allowed to run. They might have increased the frequency to 1 an hour but that was always on the cards and can be accommodated on the single line from Crediton with no additional alterations. -
Never heard those lines come from Pop Larkin. Sounds a bit deep for him.

In the grass to the bottom right ?

I think the change of address is for the company called Gamechanger rather than for the football club company…..if that makes sense. -
Bit of a leap from twenty past two ? Sorry, I’ll get my coat.

Piss poor story that. I was hoping for a happy ending where they broke another record. The record transfer fee of course, financed by all that lovely lolly from the record season ticket sales. But, alas it was an unsatisfactory cliff hanger. More unsatisfactory than The Italian Job to be honest.

Yes is my understanding, as I think the holding company is the one used for FFP reporting, and always has been.

Oh, I thought there was a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ where neither club would transfer a player ever again??? -

Unlikely as it might sound we went up a few years ago and stayed the weekend in an Air B&B near the marina. It was a cracking weekend and we’ll be doing it again. -
Corrected ?

Think it’s just a case of the reporter looking at photos of the 2 grounds and deciding that one looks like a stadium, the other like the site of a medieval jousting competition.
