Leeds isn’t as much as a write off as people think for me, as good as they are their away form has been patchy for a while. The two worrying ones for me are Southampton and Coventry due to the form they’re both in. Middlesbrough tough aswell, we’ve shown we can get results there but their home record has been good under Carrick

Think there’s a chance we see both Murphy and Stokes heavily involved in pre season maybe even see Murphy in the squad this season. Really excited by both though
-
So to confirm VAR did its job on this occasion?
-
Completely agree with the fact our throw ins have been poor, will say it’s not strictly the throwers fault but our movement from them was non existent. Hence why Tanner always opted in the end to throw it back to Vyner
-
Set pieces were excellent and obviously nice to get a goal on his debut. In possession in open play he wasn’t at his best but we know he can get better and I look forward to see him against Coventry
-
Stokes used to play for Sudbury who were step 8 in the English pyramid and they played Hashtag United (semi pro YouTube team). Second half of this video onwards Sudbury comeback from 2-0 down and he is very instrumental

Remember that happening to Pring last season and immediately thought the same could happen here. Shame but James/TGH showed their worth last night
-
Agree, superb. Best game he’s had for us and looks very good in a back 3. We know his limitations but as a 1v1 defender there’s not many better than him in the league

Scott Twine - Loan Confirmed - No option to buy

Thought Knight played well that game Gardner-Hickman struggled imo. Felt like he needed a Williams/James next to him unfortunately both were absent -
He might be right but that’s not what the squad needs going forward. Has a lot to say about anyone but himself considering his record with Watford managers

Scott Twine - Loan Confirmed - No option to buy

Loan and option to buy would do for me, if it’s a straight loan then I’d prefer it to gamble £5m on a player not proven at this level -
Oh I’m with you around competition, not entirely convinced around Bajic as number 2 but similarly I’ve only watched him against Lincoln where he was let down by the team in front of him. Bentley was on too much of a wage to be second choice to Max
-
His first mistake since Ipswich at home and this is how some people react? Bloke is the biggest scapegoat at the club because people have this weird obsession with Bentley. Both Pearson and Manning have opted for him as our number 1, I trust them over everyone who says he’s not good enough

Martin Paterson

Completely forgot he was here tbh -
Didn’t even realise how cropped the one with Tinnions son looked! The Knight one with sandals is quality
-
New job at Charlton for him, best of luck to him. Seems a great guy and did a good job for us

Aaron Amadi-Holloway

Was actually at this game, started on the right of a back 3 before moving up to striker after about half an hour! -

Struggled on his loans last season but at Hull he’s been very good I think. Not sure he’ll make it at Man City but think he has the potential to be a Premier League player definitely -

Played them twice and picked up 4 points, arguably should’ve done the double. Think he’s a very good player Carvalho but feel like they’re better off strengthening at the back than up front -
Somehow I think he’d do worse than that looking at his Twitter account recently
-
That is incredibly harsh to say they were straight at him, he had to react to push the one from Fornals away from danger and the one Pring almost put into his own net (presumably the one you’re talking about?) he had to be decisive on where the ball has to go and he was able to block and get it away from danger
-
The one thing that impressed me watching the goal back is how we pressed Emerson into playing it long to win it high. Very few touches but a very pleasing goal in many ways
-
I said in an earlier tweet the defenders were ball watching hence why I said partially. I guess you can just say he was hesitant when the ball came over but taking nothing away from Bowen and his movement. I’m one of Max’s biggest fans so I don’t want it to come across that I’m scapegoating him

I know we lost but Southampton we were excellent We needed fresh legs as West Ham were gaining momentum. All gave us more energy and even Cornick which I was surprised about in the position he came on did well imo
