  1. I don't think anyone doubts that he is a great human, it was just stupid the way MA said it in the context of it almost being his number one trait when hiring a football manager. As always it's a criticism of MA not DH.
  2. I was trying to think about how to be critical and struggling, all I've really got is that he hit a dodgy corner! What a performance, just hope we can keep him for at least another season.
  3. To be honest I usually give a manager 50/50 with signings, that's usually works out about right. I don't think it's just one bad signing for Nige, there should be questions about the Leicester Reds, Simpson, James, King plus Baker not on football ability but injury record but I also understood we needed experienced players, the judgement is still out for Atkinson and Tanner - they look ok, Weiman is turning out to be a great signing. There are still questions about our injury record as well and although it's improved it's not good enough enough.
  4. That's a big reason for why it's not an A for me. I'm sure he can't get into it now but when Danny Simpson leaves I would like Nige to give an honest assessment of what he was expecting from Simpson when he brought him in, why he had to bring him in as a player, what were the benefits of having Simpson in the squad, how he thought it worked out overall.
  5. It would be easy to be critical depending on what you're comparison is. If you think we should be winning the league or even in the top 6 then you're (an idiot) going to think he hasn't done a great job. If you compare it to where we were when he came in the situation's and constraints he has had to deal with then I'm going for a B+. If he was marking the club after a year I'm sure it would be a D+, unfortunately we have some players that are C+ but some that are complete F's!

I find that as long as I log into the VPN before opening the browser then it's fine, if I forget and load the site before the VPN then that's when I run into issues.

Yeah but we’ve also been talking about promotion for 5 seasons so the dreaming has been going on for a long time.
  8. There's been a few low points this season but we haven't reached a real depth since Sheffield U away. Coventry was probably the lowest point for me in about 8 years of watching us.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Taylor Moore's sister!
  10. Sorry I've never seen any ladies stood with the section 82 lot but I'm sure anyone is welcome. Obviously there are loads of ladies in the singing section that equally deserve praise and I thought I covered that with the other pockets where I did gender anyone.
  11. Absolutely, I just wish we could be dominant like Boro or at least stop giving opposition wave after wave of attacks. Anyway we've got the 3 points and don't look like getting close to relegation so I'm happy enough.
  12. The Section 82 lads are quality but there are loads of other pockets in the corner helping to make noise as well. Well done to anyone who's willing to shout for the team and create an atmosphere.
  13. I thought Boro looked like a good side that couldn't finish, again we conceed from a cross. We defended ok with Bentley making some excellent last ditch saves and there attacking looked potent. Not sure if I have misjudged it but I'm not sure we will see many games as one sided where we walk away with 3 points.

I was thinking that HNM would be off as well, plus £30m for Semenyo would mean NP getting £20m ish to spend.

If Fulham spend more on there attack than there defence then they will be coming straight back down. He would fit Palace quite nicely unfortunately.

Be interesting to see what Nige can do with a £20m. I can't see us keeping him.
  17. But Nige said he was just about to take him because his build up play wasn't good enough. The sage returns ?.
  18. One of those players that allows everyone else to be 5-10% better as well as being quality himself.
  19. Nige said "he knows the rules" when he dropped him so I don't think it was for what he was doing on the pitch.
  20. It will be interesting to see if the purse strings are unnaturally tightened in the summer. It’s going to be hard to judge because we will need to make a profit on player transfers.
  21. I don't think they want people waiting in the stands when they could be on the concourse consuming. I think you might also be over egging how much people are interested in previous players, I like them on podcasts telling stories but I have no interest in just seeing them stand on the pitch and wave, to say the roof would come off is a vast overstatement unless I have missed some irony in your post.
  22. My experience almost certainly, not of RG but CEOs in general it seems to come with the role to at least dress things up.
  23. Yeah some fans seem to want him to come out every time we've lost a few on the trot and say we're either going to buy the best 3 players in the world and **** FFP we don't need to worry about that or that he accepts all blame for losing a few in a row and is giving up his position. I would prefer it if we heard from him once a year to talk about the benefits he/the board sees in the CEOs strategy. Anything more than that and he is either encroaching on the CEOs job or the managers job and that causes confusion.
  24. Think of him as figurehead. It's a bit like the queen and government relationship with the JL being the queen (don't go there, your better than that) and CEO being the prime minister - you hear from the prime minister regularly about the direction of the country and policies, you hear from the queen once a year to reflect on how the year has been.
