You saying we wouldn’t be a club without sl ?
No. I am saying that the club has improved in many ways under the Lansdown ownership.

Yeah, but not where it really matters.
Infrastructure really matters. Ask other supporters in Bristol.

Stadium, HPC and the fact that we are still afloat and look to have a promising team and a great academy.

I think he talks about the ground and hpc a lot to reassure himself that he’s achieved great things with us,
He has!

I never expected that he’d still be our player at this point. Now there’s hope that we might keep him. I hate hope.
Without hope we are hopeless.

Lots of slot machines in Bournemouth, so they will understand that £25million expressed as a pile of £ coins would be 43.308 miles high. If they are trying to get a free mile, I hope we will be frank with them.

The club will have to protect its negotiating position. If every selling club thought we had loads of cash to spend, then prices would tend to firm up. If they know, or believe, that we cannot go overboard for other financial reasons, maybe we can still do reasonable business.

The odd £1m or even several hundred thousands of £s are really important in any business. They will try to find a formula with add ons that will satisfy all parties and save as much as possible. Every offer will be subject to meetings and discussions between the executives who will make the offer. They are judged on such things, that is why it can seem to take an age. We seem to do our work under cover as far as possible, maybe it is more difficult with a Premier league set up.

Around 14% light - that is not such a big gap to fill. I reckon their next bid will be £24m.

Alex Scott, or this? Same price.
That's no good - too far from Ashton Gate!

Runs all day, but doesn't score enough goals? Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the new Liam Robinson...
Liam Robinson was meant to be a striker and not a midfield player. If you were lucky enough to see his double at Peterborough, you might have thought he was dynamite, but apart from that he never seemed to score. Nice lad though.

I wonder if this will impact upon games that can be streamed by Bristol City TV. I would expect SKY to come up with some costly way to recoup their investment and make a handsome profit. We may be left with a costly Sky subscription or nothing. I hope not. DAZN is bold and brash and looks too American for my liking, but it streams to all devices and seems to do a fair job with the boxing.

Looking at the team last night it was clear that we need to recruit a few 6ft plus players because we are currently a team of small players. Without a tall CH and a tall CF, we stand to take a battering from some of the more direct teams in our league.

A little harsh maybe. A tidy little 0-5 victory for us should suffice.

I expect there will be many such speculative articles linking us will all and sundry. If, as expected Scott goes in the summer, there will be some very big boots to fill. I just put this one on there because I saw it and thought it should be passed on to the forum.

If we get another penalty today, who takes it?

I wonder if that is our Edwards shown a red in injury time?
SL Speaks

Ah! We are still looking for the magical football man who is also a billionaire. We are now genuinely ready for the next step up, due to the stability and infrastructure created by SL. The man has done us proud in so many ways and we should be forever grateful. I still remember the horror of the East End urinals nearly sixty years ago. We have come a very long way since then.
