  1. Players have regressed, Tommy especially. The number two coach (can’t remember his name, played an average level in Scotland) anyway he looks a rabbit in headlights whenever you see video’s. Think Manning needs more experience around him.
  2. But who is going to come in? Clearly nobody is interested or it is being made difficult. Hopefully a reform of parachute money happens to assist FFP competition.
  3. Relegation form. Look at the form table last 10 games, we are bottom 5.
  4. That’s what I am saying. Complete silence, surely he can give his view? We all know he is the ultimate approver!
  5. Arsenal are the best side to watch in PL. Liverpool close second with first 11 fit, Man City just don’t look hungry for it, sloppy and Haaland is not looking convincing. Arsenal can go to Etihad and put a couple past them for sure. I’m backing them to win it. Arsenal are also doing something we should, play with intensity but keep players fit!
  6. Come on Steve, come on to Radio Bristol and speak to the fans. We want to hear from you and how you are measuring the progress of the club because it certainly feels we are wading in mid table treacle and even worse, our form in last 10 games is bottom 5, relegation material. Something isn’t right. Every season we have heard from SL, it feels strange aside from the Scott quote when we sold him for a record fee that nothing official.
  7. This. Big game, he cannot afford another poor display.
  8. Haven’t seen anywhere how long he is out for? Or just not risked today?
  9. If you keep buying from the lower two divisions you finally end up being there. I cannot see us getting to PL before a relegation back to L1. Can you?
  10. Well that’s the level surely. Ex player and relations with owners is only reason why in that role at this level in my opinion. Again great player, I was at Stoke away when the Beckham goal was scored but the stint as manager should have been the end of the story in my view.
  11. Exactly this. I thought he was an excellent player for us, in fact he was in my top 3, but leave it at that. He also didn’t further his career at a bigger club, surely has a comfy mentality too. You’ve only got to look at all the ex players from that era all over the club, Hewlett, Bell, Murray. Again no issue as watched all those players and enjoyed it, but this is leadership of the club now, completely different to playing football. No other club at this level or above consistently appoint ex players on their staff! It’s almost as if that comfy nature of the years gone by just won’t go away, Nige did his best in my view to change that but it clearly wasn’t liked.
  12. Football is bang on SOD level. So dull.
  13. Yes. Uninspiring comes to mind. Ah well, we have another week on the grass! Grass which appears to cause more injuries than actual progressive play!
  14. Not as bad as this actually. The football under Manning on the whole has been dire, worse than SOD era at times and that says a lot. Nige wasnt perfect, but he was dealt a poor hand and should have been given the season and then a carefully considered appointment if no new deal. I am not convinced at all by current strategy.
  15. Has started to turn I think which will surely risk ITK status!
  16. Yep. LJ mark two. Back in a mess again soon no doubt.
  17. This deserves a heading! Abysmal record!
  18. We’ve sacked the manager many times and it has barely worked. Cotts probably the only time, even GJ took months to fix the mess from Tinnion.
  19. Boro we were fortunate. He changed the formation to them back in the game. Manning has made no progress on Nigel and this was supposed to be a progressive appointment for THIS season, not my words.
  20. Seriously without that West Ham win I do wonder. The league form has been terrible, we look so soft again after Nigel had made us tougher to beat. In fact, Southampton aside where are those great pressing performances v likes of Swansea, Plymouth? We didn’t need to make the change and if they did want top six, go for someone with pedigree to continue the good work! The last two performances have been a real let down as has the January window. Naismith hit nail on the head, clear as day standards were poor. Standards were always in place with this team under Nige and team. Poor, poor season and we go into March heading nearer bottom 3 than the top six target. Congrats all involved with the worst sacking or manager exit since Danny Wilson (oh hang on!).
  21. Yes, we are a hamster wheel. We sacked a really good backroom team and leader and quite frankly we are now worse off. We’ve gone from a PL award winning CEO, a PL manager who has won this league to these two in charge!
  22. Defo is the Tinnion show. You can see it.
  23. Look at Hull. Fans are loving the owners, their fans are laughing that they managed to get Carvalho over Twine! Ronaldhino is coming to visit them too! Compare our recruitment to Hull. Both!
  24. Players look demotivated. I am not convinced by the assistant manager. Like that Tony Doc we had.
