I believe that ace local goal scorer and big City fan Steve 'Shants' Shantry, ran on the pitch at Gillingham (I may have the venue wrong) once and fired the ball in the net. I am unsure if he made it back to the safety of the away end before being collared.

I know you’re probably joking, but I did worry a bit that the steward needed to be a bit careful (especially nowadays) in the way he was handling the one boy. The kid was trying to run and the steward needed to use quite a bit of force to keep holding his arm. The boy was twisting his arm, so the steward held on even tighter.
What I don’t get is they seemed to run from the lower South Stand and if they were with parents I don’t understand why it took so long for the one boy to be reunited with a parent, seeing as they were so close to where they got on the pitch . So makes me wonder what adult was with them.
They were not with parents, or any adults.

I can reassure you that you don't have to worry about the young lads getting bans or being in any sort of trouble. After the match they were skipping happily along making their way to B&M, I'm guessing for a bit of shop lifting.
The stewards however, are probably looking at a 12 month sentence for assault

I wouldnt read too much into it at the moment
I was furious when Pearson was dismissed and I believe that we have gone backwards under Manning. The board should take the blame for the dismissal and what has gone on since, but let me make one thing clear, nothing would delight me more if Manning goes on to be a huge success. I also don't agree with very personal attacks on him, criticise his flawed decisions, but that should be it.
We are all Bristol City fans and surely we want the team winning and playing well. I really don't want to see us plummet towards relegation so I can smugly say 'look I was right all along'. I'd love for another poster to be ridiculing some of my posts of the past few months because we go unbeaten until the end of the season and the football is front foot and exciting. I'm extremely doubtful, but keeping everything crossed just the same. COYR

That could potentially end his season ! It’s a repeat of the groin injury that kept him out for 6 weeks in October !! Have we done it again ????

So 8.5k home fans for one of their biggest matches of the season.
Doesn’t strike me as the sort of crowd a club who need a 15k stadium would get…
Build the stands and they will come...unless
* The Rugby is on
* It is raining
* It is too hot
* Babestation is on
* Lidl are doing 10% 0ff
* 3pm Saturday KO, interferes with family life
* Not 3pm Saturday, we want the traditional time
Or could it be they haven't got much of a support base

Leads Aberdeen to the Cup Semi Finals and then resigns immediately after the match. Has Lansdown been on the phone?

If Manning says not, I'd expect him to be pronounced dead in the morning.

Dear Nigel
Yes me again, so sorry. Just wanted to update you in case you weren't watching on Sky.
We are now on a run of four straight defeats heading into the match against Swansea at the weekend. We also have a mounting injury list, turns out the injuries weren't your fault after all!
Could I ask a big favour, could you send Liam some coaching plans on how to set a team up to defend? I promise I won't let him take the credit when we stop conceding goals every single match.
Love
Jon

The managerial change has been an unmitigated disaster. We are not more of an attacking threat than we were under Pearson, but defensively we are nowhere near as strong. Of course we'll never know, but I believe we would have been sniffing around the play offs under Pearson, instead we are scratching around for the points needed to stay up.

On the bright side, that should ease the demand on Plymouth tickets amirite
You can now purchase a Plymouth ticket if you've seen City at any time since 1990!

Disgraceful scenes.
Arguably, even more disgraceful than our last three performances.
I wouldn't go that far!

Question, how can you tell who's who these days ? At least in the 60's and 70's we all had scarves !
City are the ones moving forward, Cardiff are running away. That also works when you see film of confrontations between English and Italians

There is too much football as it is. It would make sense for England and Scotland to stop the League Cup and just play league, FA Cup and European matches. Pre season friendlies between English and Scottish clubs would be good. They would also be more competitive than a lot of friendlies.

Brilliant, love it. I guess in the States they all have giant 4x4 pickups to get to games.

I really hope whoever is appointed is given money to spend. No manager worth their salt is going to come without a budget. Plus we most strengthen in attack.

Just a thought, if Chris Wilder leaves Sheff Utd at the end of the season, he could be a good fit as boss.

Would be amazed if they released ST information soon, will no doubt post it as soon as we next have a win or even draw under our belts.
So after the Ipswich game then?

I get that but..the trajectory and the mood, it feels as if something has changed. It isn't one game.
We'll see if the fans see it that way in the coming weeks and months.
This is an almost unique (or at least very rare) situation where a popular manager has been removed and replaced by a guy with no experience at all managing a team at this or an equivalent level. In that situation, results need to be at least as good as the previous manager. We performed well to get through one cup round, and we took a scalp of Southampton, aside from that it has been pretty poor results and undeniably a downturn on Pearson's results and performances despite having a stronger squad available to him.

Trying to be positive and imaging we get the points needed to preserve our Championship status, kicking off 24-25 who would you like as Manager? Which players should leave? Who should stay? Where should we strengthen? For me -
Manager - ideally Nigel Pearson, knowing that won't happen I'd like an established 'manager' someone who knows the division and has had success in the Championship.
Leaving - Cornick (plenty of effort but not quite good enough), Wells (seen better days), King (happy to keep him as a coach), Weimann (seen better days), Naismith (seen better days, injury prone), Mehmeti (League one standard player),
Staying - all the rest, some talented players Vyner, O Leary, Dickie, Conway, Sykes, Pring and Knight are all stand outs
New Signings - 2 forwards minimum. We also need a creative midfield player and another versatile defender.
