  1. Unless you've seen him there as part of the crowd, which I highly doubt. He is neither on the team sheet nor in the pictures, although you probably knew that anyway.
  2. George Nurse going very well there too I believe.
  3. Do you ever watch them? I get down most weeks whenever City are away. Probably recognise you if you do. Shame they’ve fell away this season cause they were going well.
  4. A lot of calls for Root to step down, but who would be peoples choice as next captain? Has to be someone who's going to make every test team for the next couple of years, there aren't too many of those that are safely in at the moment. Yep, give him what he wants.
  5. I’ve been a few times, the first time was lockdown restricted & had to get it takeaway, it was so dry & the chips were some of the worst I’ve ever had. I gave it another go when it was possible to sit in & had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Look at it, it’s a beauty. I went again a few weeks later & I was disappointed again. It doesn’t touch the consistency of Hobgoblin/Three Brothers/Squeezed for me!
  6. Derrick Williams more deserving of a place than Cunningham. Can’t argue too much with the thread title though.
  7. As I mentioned in my post, was just me guessing. Managers regularly bring in players they’ve previously worked with that they know they can trust, however expect most will play a bit more than Simpson did.
  8. I agree. I think NP wanted him in as someone he could trust to set standards in training. Just a guess though. Why else extend then never play him?
  9. Heard he was on a pittance in footballers wages terms & absolutely nowhere near the amount quoted on that dodgy website guessing at players wages. He wasn’t going to play, but was creating a bit of an issue with the fans wondering why we played all these others in his position over him, good business to terminate early I reckon.
  10. Michael Proctor did it years ago for Sunderland iirc.
  11. I’d post on Pepipoo if I was you mate. But if you share the images make sure you redact all info & use an image hosting website. They’ve got me off two parking tickets previously! Know their stuff & will be able to inform you if you have any chance of beating it.
  12. He often had absolutely nothing on up the field so had to go sideways/backwards. Midfield weren't moving much to get into areas to receive the ball.
  13. Whyte has already said he's not doing any promo unless paid more to do so according to Bob Arum. Fury is always entertaining though.
  14. Glad I’m not alone with that one, it’s probably the best limbs I’ve been a part of. There were 50/60 year old fellas on their arses in the stairways going crazy. Mad really, cause it doesn’t seem like it should be that important when you think of it now. Magic of the cup!
  15. Mad how many people are posting home goals ? what a forum.
  16. Reid at Man City was probs the best I’ve ever felt as a City fan. I couldn’t believe we were beating the best in England 1-0. Tomlin at Fulham. Agard to make it 2-1 at West Brom in the FA cup was class, some of the best limbs I’ve been a part of that day. McCombe away at Doncaster was great. & Chris Wood penalty away at Forest. Only had about 200 of us there, under the cosh most of the game, Carey & Gerken heroics saving us & somehow came away with a win.
  17. I don't think he's awful. Seems to play far worse away from home. Trouble is when he makes a mistake it's often a costly one. As a few have mentioned, he's probably a squad player for a lower end champ side, not one that should be starting every week. I don't think we'll see him for a while anyway after NP comments yesterday, perhaps for the best because the fans are really starting to get on his back like they did with Fontaine back in the day.
  18. Just looked for this thread to say the same. So, so good.
  19. Even prior to the last 2-0/3-1 victory or whatever it was, I doubt we've had many in the last 3 odd years. I remember noticing it before. We must be the least likely team to ever get a battering from. Just had a look & not sure how this will stack up to the rest of the division but times we've won by 2 or more. 18/19 - 4 - QPR, Blackburn, Stoke, Swansea 19/20 - 6 - QPR, Hull, Huddersfield, Luton, Wigan, Boro 20/21 - 7 - Stoke, Sheff W, Preston, Millwall, Boro, Swansea, Birmingham 21/22 - 0
  20. Yep definitely have missed that. He cleared one away from a corner with his head in the semi final & I was thinking we’ve missed that a lot this year. Was very good at it.
  21. Yeah wasn't great at pressing, but think a lot of that was down to mobility. Still feel like he often put his all in. Agree to disagree I suppose.
  22. I think we should stop mucking about with playing players out of their best positions unless we absolutely have to, even then it should only be those that wouldn't normally play that come in. Kalas is one of our better CB's. Leave him there.
  23. I think it's because aside from the last few months of his career here, he was a 100%er. Might not have had the best touch, or have been the quickest player, but very often left everything out there. Didn't he win POTS the summer before? Had we gone down last season, I don't think he'd be getting the same respect but we didn't. His goals in games last season actually won us quite a few points. Late ones against Wycombe, Derby and Blackburn certainly getting us 9 points. Half the team those final few months didn't seem like they were trying & with their contracts running out it didn't surprise me much.
