Hoping for an exciting performance but expecting anything but, not sure why as the start to the season has been overall quite positive...just feel like its going to be a drab 0-2 loss

Kallis is the best all rounder ever.
Difficult to argue that statement with his record in Test and ODI cricket, comfortably ahead of Stokes in both runs and wickets, its difficult to call Stokes a true allrounder anymore but over the course of his career he is probably ahead of Botham and Flintoff now for England especially given the way he stands up in the big moments and performs

Knocking the ball round well with the one touch stuff

We need an english anthem, not that royalist dirge.
In other news, how many Scottish players from their 11 would make England's team? Robertson, for sure
A couple of years ago then no doubt, not sure he's significantly better than Shaw anymore
-
Surely the team that beat United and ran Guardiola's City close has to be in the discussion?

2 year extension to the summer of 2026 should be nailed on, allows NP to finish what he started without overly exposing the club financially.

Ironic though; they’re about the only three decisions he’s got right.
Yeah as frustrating as they have been they all appear correct on the replays, Knight looks excellent again

Deserve to be in front really, keep going like this and we'll be fine.

The nest egg should be for NP all told.
Or at least a reasonable ratio of the £25m..the rest we can analyse as we go along.
Particularly when AS wasn't even making the squad prior to Pearsons arrival, literally made money from nothing

Noticed they were in the UCL draw today, anyone else remember them from the pre season friendly in 2008? Other than Maynards hat trick I can remember an unbelievable away support for a preseason friendly, hope they do well this year

To be clear he was making the point that signing someone on deadline day without the time to do proper diligence on a signing was ridiculous.
He also talked about how clubs panic & make wild offers, alluding to this with us 3 transfer windows ago.
Made a lot of sense.
It did, think he was alluding to Cardiff trying sign Kasey Palmer one minute and then Nahki Wells a day or so later

Best of luck to him, clearly has potential and could well realise it under Dyche. A Brownhill - Massengo midfield would be interesting to see, can't see many outrunning them!
His part time photography hobby may have to go on hold in Burnley though....

International break after this weekend too....back me or sack me statement from NP?

So should have been counted out. Dubois needs to keep aiming those body shots as he looks vulnerable
Yep felt another in the round just gone, Dubois v AJ would be a lot closer than I thought before this

No low blow there at all, Dubois is in this

Bundesliga 2!
I should bloody hope he will.
He's basically gone to play for Derby or Pompey, a big club at a shit level, just because they've offered to pay him loads of money.
So his Instagram was, after all, a window to his soul - it's all about the money, the glamour, the expensive holidays, the cars. And the teeth.
Would argue its more like signing for Leeds than the clubs you mention, Schalke are a massive club and have far more significance than us historically. Can't knock Kalas for taking the opportunity over sitting on our bench on 50% of the wages

And for less £ I bet
Any chance it was ‘just’ cramp?
Definitely pulled up and waved to the bench, don't normally see that with cramp. Could be a minor one, let's hope so as agree with the theme of this thread he has been an excellent signing in terms of value

Really enjoyed us tonight. Let's see this at home now.
My thoughts exactly, entertaining g game that we more than played our part in in terms of creating chances and shots on target. Let's have more of this at home please

Put his hand up a lot immediately before being subbed. So I’d say yes.
Yeah I thought so, stopped chasing their left back down limping. We are going to need to bring a forward player in this week if Weimann and Sykes are out
-
Sykes injured as well?

Something doesn't add up, I'd we had a plan with Alex Scott andwe weren't intent on selling him then how is this the plan without him?
Same comment applies regarding us bring at the absolute limit of our wage bill after 3 years of major reductions in numbers and high earners departing yet after shifting AS who would have been on £8k /week max we are at the limit...all a bit strange.

You missed PNE & Millwall, but guess that did not help your point

It’s a completely different game so I couldn’t see her managing in the men’s game just yet.
Plus she reminds me a bit too much of Sven…I think it must be the glasses.
Not just a different game, its almost a different sport!
Forgetting the difference in genders, which would be an untested dynamic in itself, in terms of standard it would be like appointing a manager who had done well in non league to the biggest job in English football
