Yarde outfought his odds but never really looked like winning that

Ahead on 2 cards at the time of stoppage and had him rocked on multiple occasions. Yarde was much better than I thought he was

If only it worked like that. £100m to a prem club selling to a top 6 prem club, championship club selling to prem probably has a ceiling of about £25/30m post COVID.

Agree with your concept, only exception is Morgan Gibbs White, I haven't seen enough of him to know how AS compares to be honest but Scott is just a special standout talent so my gut feel is he has to be at the top end of your bracket if not above

I had exactly the same thought seeing Duncan Ferguson on sky earlier, he hasn't a clue what FGR are all about

Just seen that funny enough l, bit awkward with the Vegan burger, talking about the earth warming up etc. Strange they never asked for Big Dunc's thoughts about the Just Stop Oil protest at Goodison which Dale Vince funded...

Oddly enough I have a feeling he'll do alright there, did well enough on a caretaker basis at Everton and Ancelotti tried taking him to Madrid with him so must have something about him coach wise. Also would anyone want to anger him by not putting the effort in? Imagine trying to sack the bloke as well ?

I have a past closely associated with Bournemouth that’s all

He left Bournemouth 6 years ago when he would have been 21 years old so any "dirt" you may have would have been based on when he was a very young man. I think most of us may have done things at that age and younger we would now regret. A lot if top players were caught doing stupid things at that sort if age i.e. Rooney, Ferdinand, Lampard etc but because theyre footballers they seem to be held to a higher moral standard than we do ourselves.

The facts are he has played well in a team that have been considerably better than us for the last few years so on paper it appears a positive signing at a relatively low cost.

Only at the backing of £45m in transfer fees and 110% increase in wages.

By comparison. Cotts only spent £3m the one window he had.

And the former only worked thanks to fees we received for Kodjia, among others.

We only spent 45m because it had been generated on player sales which LJ would argue was down to players improving under his coaching methods. This circle of argument in both direction will never be squared off

There's a fiddle going on here. Even thirty plus years ago we've covered our surface to ensure the game went ahead. Perhaps they'd be better off watching the local weather forecast on TV rather than Babestation.

    Absolute tossers...

It's incredible to call it off now, been 8 or 9degC this afternoon so it's not like it could have been frozen solid? Any remaining frost could have been locally thawed surely and then covered over night. Tinpot doesn't do this justice

It will be interesting to see the players response to this.

Im not doubting his character at all, but players can be the driving force these days.

Knowing a Prem club has come in for you could be a distraction.

Lets hope Semenyo is happy to let his football do the talking and keep up his brilliant form.

Also the risk of injury to consider, if he gets a nasty injury on Saturday then both Antoine and City lose out. If something close by the weekend then he may sit out against Blackburn

Obviously no one Massengo wants to go to has made an offer. IMO not one of the ones referred to by Gould.

if an offer comes in from now on in and Massengo fancies it I’ll drive him/fly him myself

Nobody would make an offer for HNM unless he had already agrees terms with them beforehand, not gonna happen as any fee a club would offer us will end up being his signing on bonus now anyway.

If I was Antoine I wouldn’t be interested in Bournemouth . They’ll be back down with us next season

They're willing to pay him £50k per week if Nixon is to be believed, he would be a fool not to go as its life changing money.

£15m plus a sell on would do me, if we're really playing hardball then maybe a clause in there that sees extra dosh come our way if Bournemouth stay up

  10. I can never really decide on this kind of stuff, it's pretty clear that football is far more sanitised than it was 20 years ago yet I wouldn't even consider going to an away game anymore due to the level of bone head knuckle draggers we (and all other clubs) seem to attract which is far worse than I can remember even a decade ago. For all the clamping down on chanting (most of which is obviously a good thing I.e. racial abuse etc) is it actually working? Same goes for society as a whole really, with all the cancel culture/"wokeism" that is prevalent in modern Britain societal behaviour is in the mud.

    Illustrative example.

Wolves are paying according to reports, £10m for Lemina and £15m for someone called Joao Gomes.

Thus the need for Scott, who would cost that price on his own is reduced, certainly as of January.

They've also signed Pablo Sarabia tonight for £5m, you can see why PL clubs go abroad as Wolves have signed 3 players (2 of them full internationals with plenty of experience in big European leagues) for a little more than were asking for Alex Scott.

I’m not sure there is a quota on “English players”, is there? Homegrown ones, so through the Academy system maybe?

I have no idea if Palace plan to promote some kid to 3rd choice or look at making a signing, but this isn’t the most far fetched suggestion on here by a long way.

99% sure there is a homegrown quota which means that you need a certain quantity of players in your squad that were trained in the UK for something like 4 years before there 21st birthday, doesn't have to necessarily be within your own academy though just within the UK. That's why Scott Carson is still at Man City, Butland now at United, Rob Green did it at Chelsea I think too.
