  1. Quite a tough decision for Conway to make really, in reality he would have a very low chance of ever representing England but to commit to an alternative nation at such a young age is quite a commitment. I suspect he was quite happy to play u21 football but if he was to play in the Nations League he would be "Scottish" for life which complicates it slightly.

Perhaps I’m getting a little carried away but I genuinely feel he’s going to play in the PL very soon & should wait for a possible England call even if it only comes once in his career like Kevin Davies. Guess it depends how Scottish/English he feels.

I agree in reality he is English and would probably value 1 or 2 England caps far more than 50 Scotland ones

Pearson was sacked after his son was implicated in a racist sex orgy while on a pre season tour in Thailand. Pearson cited 'differences of opinion' at the time. Given the fact he had kept the club up this was clearly a serious rift.

As far as I am aware the then owners of Leicester, despite trying to sell the club, are the current owners.

I appreciate 7 years is a long time but the rift appears sizable making a return to the club very unlikely imo.

Still quite close with the owners though I believe, his name will at the very least be discussed by their board

Got to be knocking on the door for u21's soon! 2x Sheff United midfielders (on loan from Man City) in there.

That was my first instinct but in fairness that U21 squad has some decent players in there too i.e. Gibbs-WHite, Garner so its probably better he stays where he is and starts most games.

I would expect Scott to command a higher transfer fee than Semenyo.

He will do as he's younger and his contract length is greater. If Antoines contract was longer then it would be pretty close due to his goals and assists record over the last 12 months or so.

As for Scott though i genuinely dont think ive ever seen a player like him playing for us, his ability on the ball when dribbling is unbelievable. There was a moment when he went down the left last night and rolled his studs over the ball before whipping a cross in with his weaker foot that was like watching a top level PL winger let alone a young central midfield in his 2nd season at this level, that along with his passing and tackling abilities he really is a joy to watch. Surely we are looking at £30 -35m when he does move?

It’s funny how fans can forget that defending is part of the game when describing a performance. You cannot call that performance excellent when you look at the goals we conceded

You make a good point but to be honest the fact it was a competitive game  against a top opponent where we looked a threat throughout is such an improvement on the last couple of years that fans are quite rightly praising the performance. If we can tighten up at the back and cut the sloppy errors out we are a very good side.

Anyone who watched city between 02-04 should know City would have been at there best with Doherty and Tinnion in the middle we dropped a lot of points to teams teams like Colchester, Chesterfield by playing Doherty and Brunell every week in the middle.

Burnell was in there to do Dohertys running in fairness, I always liked Simon Clist who was around at the same time but never really got a look in.

  7. The novelty has already worn off on this, watched a few last year out of intrigue but not seen any of this years version. From what I've read most of the big names aren't really turning up either?

Can't see Semenyo being on 2.5g's! Would've thought his agent would've negotiated some hefty bonuses if it was indeed true. Then again he's just been binned ?

You would hope as part of whatever contract offer we've made him that we are offering to backpay him his true value for the last 18 months

Unless his leg is hanging off, he needs to start every game in the centre of midfield.

The kid has it all and is going right to the very top.

Couldn't agreement  when he broke into the side inching everyone assume he would play across the front line as a 10 or a winger but he is an all action central midfield player no doubt about it. My prediction is Spurs take him in January if he carries on performing but it will be for big money given his age and contract length, what a stroke of genius that was too getting him locked down for 4 years!

Really hope Weimann is fit obviously but failing that would there be argument for a flatter 3 in CM of Massengo, Williams and Scott, largely same shape that aside and the partnership of Wells and Conway- think Scott better as CM than 10 type role

I'd go for this if Weimann isn't fit for Saturday, we would be a bit more solid in the middle at least and a draw wouldn't be a bad result.
