I know...I almost felt bad asking it!

Yeah I saw that but its not on their list of games that normally show red button matches

Also not shown on this one either which normally show Red-Button games

Now shown on there, they must have waited for the OTIB thread to appear before confirming it!

I honestly think it might be worth having a pinned Sky Red Button thread that shows when we are on.

This gets asked nearly every game.

Not a dig at you DS, it's a popular question is all!

  3. Think it shows the progression overall being made under NP, we look fitter more combative and switched on than an any other time in the last 3 years. If we can ship Palmer and Wells out in this window and finish the season strongly ill be quite optimistic for next season especially if we can nail HNM to a new contract and keep Williams fit.

  4. Can anyone remember a local indie band that played the local venues i.e Fleece and Ferkin circa 2010ish? Bit of a Liam Gallagher style lead singer, can't remember their name and it's annoying me

  5. Non PP clubs like City will get one good season where it all comes together every 6 or 7 years and it is so important that when that chance of promotion comes its taken. We've had two opportunities at it now under SL and neither were taken as the managers weren't backed in the January window.

Other than the one good season every so often we will always just be treading water in this division unfortunately.

  6. Season is going pretty much as most expected it to with us bumbling our way through it and not troubling either end of the table. Now the home form seems to be more normal we should pick up enough points to be comfortably safe, my hope is we sign a couple of players in January and finish strongly to give us some optimism for next season.

  7. I have no idea where we are going as a football club anymore, just miles off the pace today after a decent start again.

Why is Towler starting over Atkinson? What's going on with Bentley? Why can't Dasilva get a game?

I'm all for seeing the young lads get a chance but Scott and Benarous together in midfield is too lightweight against a streetwise team like Millwall.

Needs to go behind closed doors now sadly. We’ve clearly not got a handle on it so allowing 20,000+ to gather and mingle is insanity. Back to Robins TV for a bit. Sadly Boris will pussy foot around it for a month first to make sure we’re really in the shit, then act.

Agree with you, even for the disruption it will cause people rather than then number of hospitalisations which remains to be seen.

It's not just the 15 to 20k at AG on Saturday it's the entire attendance across the football league and other sports that would dwarf the so called super spreaders of Cheltenham 2020 and Liverpool v Atletico match. Must be a couple million people due to attend sporting fixtures this weekend that would only fan the flames of the next wave.

It is possible but I don’t see any logic for immediately speculating that as the reason.

Even if you attribute it to COVID-related reasons, the vaccine is far less likely to be the reason than the fact that - whilst we have a lot to learn about long COVID - we certainly know COVID can impact on the heart and weakens heart muscles.

    www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/coronavirus/heart-problems-after-covid19

Anecdotally a friend of mine got COVID last year and recovered well initially but then, in the next six months, had two intensive care admissions and an angina diagnosis. Prior to getting COVID he had no health conditions and he is in his forties.

Research suggests people hospitalised through COVID have a higher mortality rate over the next year from a host of causes.

    https://gizmodo.com/many-severe-covid-19-survivors-go-on-to-die-within-a-ye-1848144418

All of this could or could not be a factor but immediately jumping to vaccines rather than the highly prevalent virus known to cause long term heart problems feels a bit of an illogical leap and potentially deters people from getting the exact thing they need to reduce their risk.

Excellent post, before reading this I was beginning to believe the vaccine theory (too much time on Twitter!) Its none of our business but would be interesting to know how many of the unfortunate people this has happened to in the last couple of months have had Covid before?

I wonder if it did happen, but coverage of it is much more common now?

Your probably right and maybe its anxiety over potential vaccine side-effects that is further highlighting it....that being said when the first one happened (Newcastle v Spurs IIRC), it was forgotten about within a few days but now this is happening pretty much every matchday. I'm sure if this was going on pre-Covid then it still would be getting some sort of media attention.

Medical emergency in Southampton game as well now

I don't think I can remember ever seeing an instance of this in nearly 30 years of following City or even from other games, I'm sure there must have been instances in that time but this is becoming so frequent now it really is concerning.

  12. He does have the ability to pick a pass but today was never going to be easy for him to do that. He's still a young and relatively inexperienced player so you will get inconsistency in his performances.

My issue with him is the amount of 50/50's he doesn't even attempt to win, even when it's 60/40 in his favour we won't even put his foot in for which is unforgivable at this level.

I don't think NP had much choice today with James, Williams and King unavailable but he's not really trying 5o make the shirt his own.
