Southampton away match thread
Galley is our king replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Sorry that's rubbish. Manning doesn't have to get rid of players, slash the wage bill, etc. And let's not forget, it was Pearson who selected, trained, coached and motivated the academy lads to the point that our club was top of the top 2 divisions for playing home grown players. Manning has a much easier start actually inheriting a top 6 squad.... .....that's right isn't it?- 786 replies

Liam Manning at the Hen & Chicken
Galley is our king replied to Sheltons Army's topic in Football Chat
Yes, a very good player with a superb left foot. I was though surprised that he was selected as manager when no previous manager who he played for selected him as team captain, who normally have leadership qualities Unless of course my memory is having another moment.. -

Arrogant *****, typical of a dictator. Can't stand the ****.... -
The bbc show 8 shots on target, they Show 10 in all Bbc says 17 in all for the Wednesday game (I'm pretty sure 17 is more than 10?). Bbc says 7 on target.... but as I said 2 of the off target hit the post. I understand 8 is bigger than 7 but is that really enough to say that you could see what Manning is trying to do? I less shot on target, but we didn't hit the woodwork, 7 less shots overall... You do the maths....
-
Lies, damn lies and statistics.... Looked up the match stats on the BBC for our recent home game v Sheffield Wednesday. Shots - 17 On target - 7 Now if you take into account 2 of the shots off target actually hit the post.... The answer to the op is, not that long ago.....

Can I be your second? I'll hold your coat....

Well I beg to differ. Lots of supporters I know are still livid he was sacked, the way and the timing of it. And the LIES that were used to justify it. I know of three longterm supporters, myself included (62 years), who will NOT renew season tickets next year. Ask yourself, why did Phil Alexander leave? I understand it was because money promised to PA for NP from the Scott transfer was suddenly stopped. PA resigned as a point of principle. Crayon boy runs the club like a play thing without principles. Just ask yourself, what experience or qualifications does a man whose never done a ******* day's work in his life have to run a football club? Daddy's money? I have no interest in supporting a leadership with JL and BT involved. Lastly, what sort of organisation gets it's employees to sign up to a social media site to peddle their lies and cast negativity on a manager who dragged the club up by its bootlace's, got rid of many overpaid players who should never have been bought, oversaw our club become the top club in the top 2 divisions for playing home grown talent. Nah, I'm done.....

I assume neither him or Atkinson took part in the 11 x 11 first team training match? Would be a bit stupid wouldn't it?
-
Pearson knew what he was talking about...
-
Actually... S...H...I...T...E would fit quite nicely, great suggestion...
-
And Wells.... Yes difficult indeed picking and training a team with players not available. If he needs advice about this maybe he should ring Nigel Pearson, he could tell him the best 17 year old players available to remain competitive. I at least expect us to be competitive.....

Hardly going to stop people starting without permission is it? Should be the other way round surely?

So does his backside....

Having been a member of the Architectural profession throughout my working life and having to wait for planning permission for NHS and School projects, I find this absolutely appalling. Shame on them!!!

I agree and it's been proven. Personally I think it's a disgrace. It's more like the actions of a despot dictator in a banana Republic trying to sway opinion one way or another. The owners may well own the club (and I have personally thanked SL for everything that he has done for the club), but they do NOT own the supporters! We are entitled to an opinion whatever side of the argument you take BUT, I draw the line at Bristol Sport staff taking sides in order to support their bosses. Suddenly arriving here with an agenda to help the powers that be. For me, I'm done. I will not spend one more penny at matches, no food, drink or in the shop. I have already paid for my season ticket plus parking so will see out this season but it will be my last. 62 years man and boy. Not since 82 have I felt so down about the club I love and the direction it's taking and the people running it. -
