  1. Wednesday the 7th I’m guessing for the replay, Forest play the Sunday before
  2. Good game that we had the best of. Both teams poor with decision making in the attacking box
  3. Hang on, the Premier League starts the week after! So……………
  4. AG1 Portway Park & Ride via Portway (includes free parking) AG2 Brislington Park & Ride, Direct (includes free parking) AG3 Temple Meads via Broadmead and Centre
  5. There are usually at least 2 AG buses for each route waiting for the game to finish. They depart as they fill up so no worries about leaving you behind if the match drags on a bit. the first one usually goes fairly promptly after the game as quite a few leave before final whistle or run to get it right on the whistle. Then the next one fills up and both or however many there are will come back to collect those taking a more leisurely exit from the game, so there’s no rush and no worries about not getting back. The first few will be full and standing for those boarding last.
  6. That's the problem, when you've got loads of people walking back there'll be some going at snails pace and others in a rush and there's little room for maneuver. I'm guilty of the occasional overtake off the pavement and to be fair cars don't seem to get too close to the pavement.
  7. The walk back includes a very narrow and not well maintained, often covered in wet leaves, pavement and I often wonder if this is the reason the P&R never officially gets mentioned as an option. I do it every game and for me it’s no problem but I’m not sure what would happen if they encouraged a thousand people to use it then someone was clipped or worse by a passing car on what is a busy dual carriageway with a pavement less than a meter wide in places. I’m just guessing but they obviously know we use it and have even opened the gates on Sundays for us.
  8. It looked to me yesterday like Watford had highlighted our throw-ins as a weakness and a way to regain possession quite quickly. They gave us no room and and there were always plenty of their players around the thrower. As the game went on there seemed to fewer options for the thrower, stats may prove me wrong but it certainly felt like that.
  9. If I remember rightly Liverpool were around, maybe a place or two lower than West Ham are now and we were about where we are now. Does this mean there’ll be a mural from Tuesday night in the concourse soon?
  10. I’m the same with Osman. I can remember Phil Tottle (I think) saying he was privileged enough to be in the dressing room at Anfield when Osman gave a Churchillian type speech before they went out and beat Liverpool. He was praising it more than Tinnions goal. I started to feel guilty about not liking him until I remembered those endlesss, posing punts upfield to nobody time after time followed by him moaning and blaming someone else for it leading to nothing. I expected more of that team to turn up too, was Any Llewelyn there? He does come to games sometimes.
  11. Yeah, gorgeous winter sunshine, lovely city and a unique stadium with more steps than Newcastle’s away end.
  12. I must admit to being full of festive cheer and optimism when we scored 4 at their place. I never thought when we would be playing the reverse fixture we wouldn’t have scored a single league goal since. It’s one of those typical championship fixtures that’s impossible to call, so I’ll go for a closer 2-1 victory for us this time.
  13. And a proper double European cup winner awaits next. But a trip to Stratford wasn't the quaint warm european city break I had in mind. Knowing our luck we'd get a Moldovan team that takes 3 flights and 2 days to get to.
  14. A favourable draw in Europe and we could have some unbelievable memories. I went to watch Stoke in Valencia in 2012 and it was an experience the 4000 Stokies will never forget, I’ve never felt so jealous.
  15. Oh six nations rugby, of course. No thanks!
  16. Didn’t know that, thanks. Have tickets for the England game gone on sale yet?
  17. What an horrendous thing to go through and to be alone in a hotel room away from home lying there in agony must have really tested his mental strength. He clearly passed the mental and physical tests with flying colours and I really hope he’s now rewarded for his efforts with a run of form that gets him the Scotland squad.
  18. That’s a whole new thread but I’d probably agree. The odds of a side getting to both finals are very slim but it’d certainly be a headache for organisers, I’d guess the play off final would have to find a new slot.
  19. There was a temporary scaffold TV tower in front of the building site that is now the Lansdown. Can't remember anything in the Dolman, maybe it was just for the rugby
  20. I was too cold to take mine off
  21. Unhappy Hammers even down our way. Just saw this on our local Facebook page. Not mine by the way...
  22. I know they play 'pool on Saturday, Blackpool........ Who almost got a winner just then to earn a second visit to Bristol on the Friday
  23. We could be the first team to play our under 21s in an FA cup final so the first team can concentrate on getting to the P L the next day.
  24. With a potential points deduction and relegation to worry about I can’t see Forest being too excited about a cup tie at Ashton Gate. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me if Blackpool win tonight but given a choice I’d take Forest.
  25. Yes indeed, the 10 years I’ve lived in Devon I’ve been waiting for a local game. The problem is the tickets are likely to go to season card holders with around 8 away games, I’ve only done 4 aways so far and don’t expect to get many more in before then. So it’ll be a nervous wait for a ticket.
