A late shout out to West Ham for sorting out those who didn't have tickets because they were with friends stuck on late trains. They did a reprint for my mate and others were able to get in by using a photo of the bar code sent to them by their mates.

I doubt it. They do all they can to get them to start and finish at the same time but you can only do so much

There is some truth in that but if you've been to Upton Park and to the London stadium you'll know everything is very different now.

I'm not sure it's possible to get such different experiences watching the same fixture than Upton Park and today. Their fans seem to have changed too.

Worth it in the end. Missed the West Ham goal as did quite a few of us on trains. Great start to the 2nd half, all played well but Williams my MOTM. Great following........ eventually

My train is still on time with 3 major hold ups ahead but the train manager is expecting all 3 to be sorted before we get to them, I am on quite a late train compared to others but the first out of my town Just got to hope traffic not held up too much in front of us.

Sorry if it’s already been mentioned but will this be the biggest crowd we’ve ever played in front of at a club ground? Obviously we’ve played in front of more at Wembley and the Millennium.

Yes the Lizzy line from Reading, Slough, Ealing etc doesn’t go to Stratford, so change at Paddington or any station after that as far as Whitechapel then take the train headed for Shenfield.

Yeah, no more rain forecast so should dry up and if there’s no damage to lines should be fine. It’s the lack of information that annoys me, how bad are things? Is the water reducing at a quick enough rate? Is there any damage to the lines? I don’t want to hear 30 minutes before it’s due that my train is cancelled. The other problem is every weekend here there’s a train to London cancelled due to lack of staff. The whole system is shambolic atm.

Thank goodness there’s been no more rain, the line between Reading and Exeter has been closed today, between Exeter and Salisbury (Waterloo line) closed, many trains between Paddington and Bristol and return have been cancelled. Just a waiting game now to see if things get back to normal tomorrow. As it sounds like security checks take a while at West Ham I don’t have a whole lot of spare time as it is…….and I’ve got a mates ticket!

I’ve found each destination to have different favourites. Hertz in one town can be good in another not so much. I must admit I’ve used Goldcar in Spain with no problems but many have had problems. My best advice is pick a company you’ve heard of, take videos or photos of the car when you pick it up and make a note of any problems. But most of all, take out Excess insurance before you go and decline theirs. It’s crazy not to have it all but to buy theirs is stupid money. Use a company like https://www.icarhireinsurance.com/ there are plenty of others just check the ratings and what’s covered. I usually take out an annual one for about £40 but you can take out for just what days you’ll need it if it’s a one off rental. You can even add it as an extra on your house insurance with some companies. With this you should have peace of mind even if they try on a scam. Reading reviews you’d think every car hire company out there is out to get you, in truth you should be fine if you look after the car, get it back in plenty of time with the tank full.

He’s such a massive sports fan, if there’s live sport on locally he’ll be there. With our dreadful weather lately there’s been a lack of local football on but he still managed to find his way here to Teignmouth at the weekend to watch them. I’m sure he’ll be getting more BBC work in the future

Those that are planning on using the tube after the game would be advised not to hang around too long. All tube lines are being wound down on Sunday evening leading up to the following weeks strikes. People are advised to make their journey by 5.30. The Elizabeth line to Paddington, by far the quickest way back to Paddington station, should still run as usual on Sunday. Anyone staying over (me) Monday will be chaos as there will be no tube and disrupted Elizabeth line. So packed buses, walk or hire bike.

I remember getting one for Christmas but it would rarely last into the new year. Stupidly we’d play with it in our road, everyone had thorny privet hedges and it wouldn’t be long before it burst. I do remember the hot knife trick but can’t remember how successful it was.
