  1. I know they play 'pool on Saturday, Blackpool........ Who almost got a winner just then to earn a second visit to Bristol on the Friday
  2. We could be the first team to play our under 21s in an FA cup final so the first team can concentrate on getting to the P L the next day.
  3. With a potential points deduction and relegation to worry about I can’t see Forest being too excited about a cup tie at Ashton Gate. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me if Blackpool win tonight but given a choice I’d take Forest.
  4. Yes indeed, the 10 years I’ve lived in Devon I’ve been waiting for a local game. The problem is the tickets are likely to go to season card holders with around 8 away games, I’ve only done 4 aways so far and don’t expect to get many more in before then. So it’ll be a nervous wait for a ticket.
  5. I wonder when we’ll have a definite time for the Easter Monday game at Plymouth. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was moved to an earlier slot.
  6. Yeah I’d realised that but thought it’d be 3 o’clock like the last two at Stoke have been.
  7. When he’s inevitably comparing wage packets with his best mate Alex it’s going to be very hard for us to keep him for very long.
  8. No you get a payment for each round you win, so as @Silvio Dante says , very lucrative if you win a few rounds or go all the way
  9. I think the “can’t be bothered with the FA cup, let’s concentrate in the league” crowd are dwindling by the minute.
  10. I hadn’t realised it was a 12.30 kick off.
  11. I think we can finally put to bed the myth that some were peddling until a few weeks ago that he’ll never be able to play Saturday/midweek/Saturday. He’s been on fire this last month.
  12. I noticed at their place they’re a very different breed than they used to be at the Boleyn. From Moyes pre match interview onwards I don’t think any of them were up for it and they paid the price.
  13. Yeah but how much have they saved over the years by not having to employ someone to do all the cash banking, including counting it and depositing it at a bank….if you can still find one?
  14. Bit late in the day but I’ve got a spare for the lower Lansdown. £15 if anyone is interested. Face value £20
  15. I've seen us lose to a shootout at Wembley. Scarred for life now
  16. We can all agree that Andi deserves a tick in the “good signing” box. I wish him well and hope for some new signings that can tick that box
  17. Oh really? I’ve not seen anything else, looks a legit bit of fielding to me…..and the commentators
  18. Used to go to Racks loads in the late 90s early noughties, can’t ever remember food being involved though. I guess most places have food offerings now. I there’s one thing that would get me moving back to Bristol it’d be this thread. Bristol looks like foodie heaven now.
  19. I guess the side by side stages won't affect the capacity, it'll just be wider than the Arctic Monkeys one, pictured below. Not sure I'd want to be stood on that pitch all day, hope it's a nice day at least
  20. Technology to zoom in has been around for a hundred years but that’s not how televising a game works. It’s all about the angles and position I suppose. There was endless criticism of our games against Man Utd and City. If you google “Ashton Gate camera angle too high” there’s pages of criticism to read on the subject. I guess as we were at those games we haven’t noticed so much.
  21. One of the worse views as far as tv cameras go is Ashton Gate. It’s way too high up. Perhaps Jonathan Pearce will mention it to someone on Tuesday so they can get it sorted before we hit the big time. So no rush.
  22. In the past he’s said he wouldn’t do City if they got to the Premier League but may consider doing an FA cup tie.
  23. Tom Abell casually saving a few runs, scored 65 off 36 too on his debut for Sunrisers in the South African T20 competition
