  1. Yes they are decent, I think entering the draws is the way to go, small chance of winning but very nice if you do.
  2. En? Exactly the opposite. It’s a travesty because they’re taking all our players. The whole thing is a great big money losing shit show. The sooner they change things, hopefully next year, the better.
  3. Maybe when they tell us how to forward your ticket to a friend you’ll be able to forward it to your new phone @Bryans Left Peg
  4. Ok, it’s raining and there’s nothing on tv and I’m going to admit I’ve watched a tiny bit of the Hundred. You can’t criticise if you don’t try it and I wanted to check in on the 3 Somerset players. I lasted about 5 minutes on BBC as the commentators/ presenters were just dreadful. Apart from Moeen Ali who was singing Lewis Gregory’s praises as a captain. Thought if I am going to watch another 5 minutes it’ll be on Sky. They were also praising Gregory and his captaining skills in short form cricket, he’s bowling pretty well too, though it’s hard to understand (the opposite of the reason for the Hundred) because there’s no overs. Anyway, Gregory for England T20 captain!?
  5. I can tell you if you write and complain you’ll get a lanyard from the Man City game instead! I’m not really sure what your supposed to do with it? Maybe wait until we play them next and use to sneak into hospitality?
  6. I think Cook’s last sentence is correct, he’s got more shots than people realise. I think he’s been managed brilliantly by Somerset so far, just concentrating on red ball and getting the basics right. The fancy stuff can and will follow. I’ve seen plenty of unorthodox shots from him and he’s rarely a slow batter. He’s no Tom Banton but he will certainly have enough shots to get into the Bazball test team because he’s such a classy batsman.
  7. Good question, it’d be nice to know how many enter and who the winners are, maybe this is done I don’t know. Anyway, after last season’s debacle I’m thinking of spending all my points on draws this season. Probably slim chance of winning but at least there’s some good prizes.
  8. Ponting is right, this should be Wood bowling now
  9. I was beginning to get fed up with Nassar’s on air love affair with Broad but I’ll allow him a bit more now.
  10. Change the bails change your luck.
  11. It’s not been a great series for bowlers fitness, Moeen-twice, Stokes-every game, Robinson, Wood, Anderson-age……
  12. But after I wrote that he did start to bowl, just as the underfoot conditions had deteriorated
  13. Being a Bristol City fan - priceless!
  14. Exciting times, I’m sure like James and other keepers he’s also a good outfielder so he can fight his brother for the gloves.
  15. There’s nothing on the website warning of problems on Friday, which there always has been on strike days, so you may be fine
  16. Just seen that it’s not a full strike, just stuff like overtime ban so you may be ok. They usually post trains available a few days before
  17. From where? I traveled back from watching the Friday’s test yesterday from London but the last train back was 13.00. You do know it’s a day nighter, so I’m thinking unlikely.
  18. Yes I’ve heard that said a number of times. We’ll have to wait to find out and it would be great to have another Kiesy v Buttler situation but I think we should wait and see first. Its not unheard of for a top sportsman to say he has a more talented sibling that hasn’t made it for whatever reason. I’m just waiting for the next Hundred withdrawal and Rew to get called up. I know he’s not the biggest hitter out there but there’s nobody in better form and he’s certainly no slouch.
  19. Rew to the rescue, he’s Somerset’s equivalent of Alex Scott. Rew is a few months younger and probably won’t get transferred for £25m but is certainly on his way to the top.
  20. Somerset struggling a bit in a shortened game. I live in Devon but from Somerset so not too bothered today
  21. Can’t help but think we could have done without the Stuart Broad show in the middle of a test, leave it until the end or announce it before. But then he wouldn’t have had as much of the attention he loves. I don’t deny he deserves it, I just think his timing could have been better.
  22. Clearest most user friendly answer so far.
  23. Saving him until the ball starts to reverse swing is all well and good if it’s a dry day forecast but if the ball gets wet then it isn’t going to reverse. Plus he struggles to bowl when it’s wet underfoot.
  24. Have I missed something? Why hasn’t Wood bowled?
